I need this box to hold some cash and it is perfect. Box is very strong, the coin tray is plastic, but also strong. It came with two keys which work beautifully. It is a good size as it doesn't take so much space and it works well for adults as well as children; Excellent value.Don't understand the complains from other reviewers.

This was my first semester of college and I decided to dorm, however, I was a bit anxious to do so because the medication that was prescribed to me is one that is often abused by some college students. Of course, I still worry that someone could potentially pick up this lockbox and take it, but it’s easily hidden in a drawer or under the bed. It’s very lightweight, but sturdy and serves its purpose. It’s not something that I would leave out in the open, depending on what you put in it, but it works well for me and my situation.

I like this cash box well enough. You can stash candy, cash, or inexpensive jewelry inside and it would be a mild deterrent at home or a school bake sale. A serious thief would simply carry the whole thing off and open it with a screwdriver easily enough. I like the size of the box which is a little smaller than a standard sheet printer paper. It arrived in excellent condition with a tight fitting lid and smooth surface There is quite a bit of space under the cash tray. The lock is enough to secure it from casual curiosity, but would be very easy to get into if anyone was at all determined. The key is extremely basic. I imagine the same key comes with all of these cash boxes because there isn't much potential for variety with such a simple design. Just a note to those looking at the photos in the reviews...this review is for the .19 cash box. It is a less expensive, thinner box with a latch lock on the front. The .17 cash box looks like it has thicker walls, a larger lock on the top of the box and a better key, but costs about $10 more. It is important to note that even if you have selected the .19 box you are still seeing the reviews for .17 box as well unless you filter the reviews.

If you need a simple metal box to hold a few documents together on one place, then this is a good choice. It is not as heavy-duty as the other fire resistant boxes, but it does the job. The lock works well and easy to use. It is what it is, a simple metal box with a handle. Very portable. Amazon.com has the most competitive price and fast shipping. Very pleased with this purchase.

I needed cash boxes for a fundraiser for a volunteer organization, and these absolutely fit the bill.They are reasonably priced, fairly sturdy, have enough compartments for change, and the compartments have sloped sides so you can scoop out the coins easily.If you’re on a budget these cash boxes will serve you well!

This locking box is good for storing things, and for keeping small hands away from things, etc. But please don't purchase this box thinking that it will be a highly secure solution, nor thinking that it will protect the contents from fire or water - it won't. It is a great way to organize papers or small items that need more attention than storing in a drawer, but unless you place this box inside another safe, it will not protect well.The box could be easily pryed open (as noted by one customer who experienced a broken lock, and had to do so to get into the box). There is no water-tight seal, nor is there any fire resistance to speak of. If you're trying to put a few things away "so the kids don't mess with them", this will work. If you need more peace of mind you should consider a more expensive solution.
