For the price is good, but made from a very cheap quality plastic
For the price is good, but made from a very cheap quality plastic! Double A Battery chamber is very hard to load, AA batteries have to force them to get them in! It seems everything works even the infrared remote works on battery grip, just the quality is below average, it feels like it is not going to last and something is going to break very soon! It's not really made for a heavier professional cameras like the Nikon D700, but it could be okay for smaller lighter cameras, for the price you can't go wrong if you use the grip on the camera occasionally.

The one I received was nothing like the one in the video
Is this a bait and switch from the one shown in the video? The one I received was nothing like the one in the video. in the video it shows it holds two lithium batteries, the one I received holds only one. A portion of the grip slides into the battery cavity of the camera the one delivered does not. if I wanted it to hold one battery, I would have just used the camera itself without the shoe. The battery magazine does not seat very well in the shoe when you close it .... This grip is nothing like it looks on the box that it came in which looks some what like the one in the video, textured like my camera, but smooth plastic instead. Very disappointed. but I shouldn't be surprised for the cost.....

I bought this piece of crap in the middle of February and it stopped working ...
Their is a reason that the battery grips sold by Nikon are more expensive. I'm sure that they work, last a reasonable length of time and have more then a 30 day guarantee. I bought this piece of crap in the middle of February and it stopped working the end of May.Up until then it worked as advertised, although it did feel very flimsy on the camera. I was in the middle of a twilight Real Estate shoot when I couldn't shoot anymore pictures. I was able to switch cameras and finished. Later I found out that my D700 was just fine, but would not work with the battery grip attached.Lesson learned, if it's too good to be true it isn't.

Great addition to my D300s
Works exactly as expected. Great addition to my D300s. Wish it had a rubber coating, but for the price I'll deal. Loving the af button being on the grip. Wish my D3200's grip had one.update: 2-18-2016Sadly after hardly any use (it mostly sat off camera in my bag due to space) the sutter button has decided to no longer work. All the other buttons and wheels work great, but the one I need the most ..... nope.I'm going to assume for the price I paid this is now just going to get tossed in the trash, which makes me sad I wasted the $40.

I just received my replacement DBK Vertical Grip, works great,Thank you for your great customer service,
the latch that holds the double AA batteries opened when i was shooting a football game this past weekend, I used black masking tape to keep the double AA battery holder from falling out. looking at the latch, i see that it is to small to lock the double AA battery holder in place.

Well you can see what choice I made and I'm glad I did
Let's see, my choice was to spend a couple hundred dollars on a genuine Nikon grip or a third party grip for 1/4 the price. Well you can see what choice I made and I'm glad I did. Top quality grip is what you'll get. Comes with many extras like an infrared remote, charging cable. Yes you can charge the battery right in the grip. I'm gonna order one for all my Nikon bodies.

Good as long as the batter has a good charge.
Works great most of the time. The only problem is when the battery gets slow, it freezes up the camera. I have to take off the battery grip in order to continue to use the on board battery.

Worth every $$$
Purchased this for my Nikon D300, out of the box I could not get the grip to power up the camera. I contacted the seller and they very graciously sent me a replacement and a return shipping label for the 1st grip. The 2nd grip is working flawlessly. I haven't put it through a thorough test but I'm confident that it holds up to the job..
