HBH Pisces Pros 8 Veggie Fish Food Flake (7 oz)

It's VERY hard to find true veggie flakes. Look at the ingredients of most commercial flake or pellets: some sort of fish meal is usually the first ingredient. Because I have picky discus (and because I'm neurotic), I've done a lot of reading about fish diets. Most tropical fish need a MUCH higher percentage of dietary fiber than what they get in most commercial flake food. Fish constipation is real, folks! :D If you have $2 tetras or something, then it's no big deal; but when your fish cost $150-$300 a piece, you don't want them dying from something stupid like constipation (and the issues it can cause). The next big question was whether or not my fish would eat this flake, and I'm happy to say that they gobble it up. I was really happy to find this true veggie flake on Amazon, and I took the time to write this review so hopefully they will keep selling it. Awesome product!

These are great flakes for the fish and the fish enjoy them a lot. The real difference with this product is the vendor Pisces Pros (HBH). They have been quick to reply and very accommodating even though the only issue we've ever had is with the USPS. They keep us updated and work to make things right. A real customer oriented team.

I've been using veggie 8 for months now. No bloat issue with my tropheus..... Has tons of veggies and just enough meaty food for tropheus 28% crude protein is perfect for herbivore species...

My Cichlids love this. Flakes are kind of small but still feeds them good.

My central & south american cichlids love this 8 veggie flakes food. I'm glad they are getting the 8 veggies. Spirulina algae is their number 1 ingredient says the label among many other vegetables.

Great food fish love it and has lots of good ingredients
