Awesome replacement winch line
This was a great purchase. I replaced the steel cable on my Warn HS9500 winch with this synthetic line. I’ve used it several times off road and also around home. It’s just plain great, no more worrying about getting stabbed by a broken wire from the steel cable, it’s so much easier to pull it out and it cuts about half the weight of the winch off. While this isn’t the cheapest option out there for a replacement synthetic line, I have full confidence it it and don’t worry about having my line break on my. The abrasion shield that comes with it is very nice and works great. This would be a great up grade for any winch but would be essential for those using a multi mount winch system.

The price of an ER co-pay makes synthetic line worth it
When I installed a winch this year, I knew I wanted to go synthetic, whether the winch came with it initially or not. I was bewildered at the options available for 3/8" synthetic line, but I ultimately decided on the Warn for a few reasons - it has a superior attachment design for the drum end, and comes with a heavy-duty tube thimble on the hook end. I had seen other lines that came with a crimped copper connector to attach to the drum, and while that connection shouldn't take any significant load during winching (the load should be spread on the last several turns on the rope), I didn't like the idea of having my connection point be slowly corroding due to environmental exposure. I replaced the 1/2" hex screw provided with a stainless-steel one, and have no doubts that it'll last for years.Yes, you need to pre-tension the line as it goes onto the drum, but it's a simple procedure. The line itself was a cinch to install. No memory, increased safety, a lot less weight up front for the suspension to deal with - what's not to like?

Superior product
I bought one of these about 4 years ago, and I have to say that I am astounded just how well this synthetic rope has performed. I use it in the tropical rainforest of Indonesia, where it is continually exposed to water, mud, muck, grime, and intense uv radiation. I have lost count how many times I have used to to recover myself or others...easily over 100 times. It doesn't look sleek and new anymore, but also isn't disintegrating...structurally it is looks just fine and performs just as strong as when it was new. It has also stood up to all kinds of abuse in the form of jerking a vehicle to get it unstuck...flawless performance. When it is new, it is slightly bulky, but as soon as you wind it onto the winch under a fair amount of tension, (especially when soaking wet) it packs nice and tight... Not very different from a steel cable in my opinion.I love the reduced weight and far superior safety factor of using this compared to conventional steel cables. Would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a superior winch rope. I actually have a second one I purchased for when I break this one, but I don't anticipate happening anytime soon!

Much, Much Better Than Cable
Have not had to use this yet to pull my rig, but it is much, much nicer than cable, winds up nice, easy to handle. It is bulkier than the steel cable and I bought mine the same length as the cable and if I'm careful I can get it all on the spool. This is not a problem for me as once I end up using the cable I usually will wrap 10 or 20 feet around the winch guard so it is easy to deploy for the next pull. I actully wish I would have bought another 25 feet and filled the drum then wrapped the excess on the guard as it coils nicely around the guard/fairlead mount and this would have given me another 25 feet of reach/pull.

Works Great
I needed to replace the rope on my Warn winch and this was a direct replacement for it from Warn and sold through Amazon. Amazon had the best price for this product very happy with it.Cheers

Buy the real stuff when your truck or life depends on it!
SO much better than the Chinese stuff you see on amazon like Xbull and smittybilt etc. When I see other guys with that nasty fake dyneema on the trails, I get uneasy being near there recovery rigging. That bright orange junk might break any second! Ill stick with the winching pros and support Warn's USA workers!

Amazing rope
I bought this, not for winching, but because I wanted a durable rope for an epic tree swing. It's been up in place for about 3 weeks now so I'll talk about that experience and you winchers can approximate from there. In 3 weeks, we've had 10 days of rain, wind, scorching sun, temp from 50s to 105, and low to high humidity. I would have given this 5 stars except for the fact that the "abrasion coating" and "protective sleeve" may do just fine for winching, but appear to be pressing flat where the rope crosses over a tree limb. I've used the end points and that giant carabiner as an attachment point for hand holds, a seat, stuff kids would want to play with on an epic rope swing and where the two end points meet the rope is mashing a bit flat there as well. That being said, in all this weather I expected some fading which has not yet happened. I expected the rope to take a while to dry out and it is drying out quickly. At this price and the intended use, I did not expect to see any type of wear or tear and so far, there's none. Granted that a 100 lbs of children playing on a rope swing doesn't compare to winching 10k# vehicles through mud, but still if you were looking for weather resistance, this one has 3 weeks across a variety of weather and is outdoors continuously.
