but was not prepared for the amazing sound reaching my ears from this speaker
Wow! I read the mostly positive reviews, but was not prepared for the amazing sound reaching my ears from this speaker. I have it connected via Bluetooth to my Moto X streaming one of the jazz channels on Google Play Music (over Wi-Fi so as not to kill my data plan).I am listening in the screened-in lower level of our community clubhouse on the shores of Tampa Bay. I started with the speaker on a table a few feet from my laptop where I am working. Since it was "near field" listening, I kept the volume low. The sound was impressive. Not a ton of bass, but what was there sounded clean. I was mostly impressed with the "openness" of the sound. It didn't sound like it was coming from a speaker box - which may be the point of the thin flat panel design. Then I moved it down to the floor in a corner to see how that placement might reinforce the bass frequencies. In that placement, the sound was "fuller" but still clear. I think that is because the integrated handle/stand lets you angle the speaker upward toward your ears. Most speakers sound muffled on the floor despite (because of?) the bass improvement. But most box speakers don't let you tilt them up toward your ear without using a separate stand. The hard shell/soft touch carrying case that comes with this speaker is a nice addition for traveling. It holds the charging cable. It also has enough room that you could also carry an audio input cable (not supplied) for connecting to non-Bluetooth devices.Overall, this is a very impressive value for the sub-$40 price I paid. Actually, I used Amazon Rewards points, so it was an even better deal.

Wonderful sound, easy to carry stopped working after 7 months and only 2 uses. Stick with Jambox for dependability.
I bought this product to have a stereo with me when I travel, go camping etc. I use this and a Jambox as a secondary device but once the Fusive was delivered I immediately loved the profile and how easy it was to care with an awesome case that holds everything. I thought the sound was on par with Jambox at least the mid and highs, lows weren't as close but was extremely happy with my purchase none the less. Was a 4.5 star product based on two uses. I have only used it twice since I purchased, first time was right after I got it I took it on a work trip because I wanted something for my hotel. The second time I took it on vacation in Hawaii and was great for that trip too. Fast forward 4 months and I have only had the product 7 months or so (maybe 8) and it won't turn on, charge even if plugged directly in. I have swapped out different usb cables, different usb wall outlets and nothing. I tried to let charge for a few days with each of the different and nothing happened and no lights ever came on during charging. This is my first experience with Belkin on the speaker end, I have used their products for years such as chargers, computer accessories, iPad case and keyboards etc and have never had a problem. I am severely disappointed in this though since I only got two uses in such a short time and my Jambox I have had for almost 2 years (first gen) and it works no problems. I would much rather of used this product but since it died so quick I can't recommend to anybody.Update on 1/5/15I just saw the response from Belkin and tried as instructed to plug into my computer and it still didn't work. Send an e-mail to Belkin as recommended, hopefully company will make it right!

Fair speaker for $30
UPDATE 1: 6 months old and there is something wrong with the micro USB charging connector. Never damaged or jarred or dropped it but it is really hard to find that sweet spot where the speaker will charge. Sticking with the "for $30 it ain't bad" line. Just don't expect a bunch out of it.UPDATE 2: This item is discontinued by Belkin but I called about a warranty repair/replacement. Cost me $11 to return it to Belkin and I got a replacement two weeks later. I in interim I replaced this with a Bose SoundLink Color which is about three times the price and about 5 to 7 times the sound quality plus much better battery life.Look, for $30 this ain't a bad Bluetooth speaker! I love the carrying case and the design is portable. The sound quality is good but a shallow in the bass. Other than that, it has a bright and responsible sound. I think charging it with a USB cable is brilliant since they're everywhere these days. What don't I like? That's a bit strong. What bothers me? Meh. Still a bit much. What could be better. Ah, there we go.There is no way you're going to get 10 hours of life out of that battery. When you use it, you get maybe 4 at best.Like I said, the bass is weak but I think that's pretty much a given when you spend less than $100 on a speaker. The buttons are accessible but unless you have them memorized you need to look at them. Some raised marks on them so you could feel them rather than look would be nice.Speaking of buttons, if I have the speaker connected to my Macbook and I'm streaming music from a website and I hit the "Next" button on the Fusive, it launches iTunes on my computer. Perhaps that's a function of Mac OS X but I thought you should know. You're welcome. My experience with the speaker phone function so far has been horrible. Like I'm answering the call from an echo chamber. The person on the other can't hear me very clearly.I've paired this with my Macbook, my Galaxy S III, my wife's iPad, and her iPhone. When you turn the speaker on it pairs with the first thing it sees. Sometimes you have to chase down which device you left Bluetooth turned on so you can pair it with the device you want. That's Bluetooth, got it. But it would be nice if there was some way for the speaker to tell you which device it just automatically paired with. An annoyance at best.

Great sound and battery life
Loved this product. Provided endless hours of music with excellent battery life. Very compact but excellent sound quality. Would highly recommend this. Had this for several Years now but the battery (?) just died. Won’t power up .... but still worth the money.

... the strength of other reviews and it is as good as other said
I purchased this on the strength of other reviews and it is as good as other said,I have it in my kitchen mostly which is quite a large room ,and the quality and volume of the sound are perfect for it. It is so inconspicuous because its so small, which is a great bonus because my wife likes the kitchen to be' just so'. being wireless is so convenient too, and it connects to my phone and or tablet instantly,my son wants one now for his room and to take out so looks like ill be buying another one. It just sounds great, 'the tardis of speakers' as my son calls it, due to the huge sound coming out of a small device!

don't even think of buying
Really really really bad sound quality. It just looks good, I'll prefer buying the jbl clip instead of this.
