ZINUS Therese Metal and Wood Platform Bed Frame / No Box Spring Needed / Wood Slat Support / Easy Assembly, Twin

Overall the frame is nice and looks good, however the headboard will not slide onto the bed frame on the right side as the tubes are the same size. I've tried pending them some and even hammering it down with a rubber mallet to no avail.I have made numerous attempts to contact Zinus Customer service but after being on hold for about 10 minutes each time it makes you leave a message, which no one has yet to return.Update: several days have passed and still no response or contact with Zinus. Luckily Amazon is replacing the entire item.

Item delivered.today after 2 and half weeks of waiting. Arrived with dents on the bar of the supposed head board. Easy to assemble, but the dents on the bar ruined the aesthetics of the whole bed. But seems like a steady bed.

The frame would be great if the headboard was not dented and bent as another reviewer noted. My guess is there is a defect in their packaging process - the box and interior packaging looked fine, but the headboard was dented and about a half inch out of alignment. I managed to bend it back to assemble the frame, but it is still very noticeable since it is the headboard. Amazon handled the issue well, but if you buy this frame, just know you are taking your chances.

I'm a single woman and I was able to put this puppy together in 2 hours or less. I did however of course get some of the pieces backwards at first, but really that's just because I'm blonde and I was tired. Every piece is numbered and you really just match the numbers up with each other - if you can count to 12 (which I think was the highest number), then you can do this!All the pieces were shipped nicely, all hardware was there and the color is a nice rich dark brown. I bought this to go with the 12 in Zinus Foam Mattress and it fits nice and tight. I had read reviews of the other bed frames which didn't have the footpiece, so their mattress would slide sometimes off the edge. This bed doesn't have that issue because of the foot piece which holds it in nice and tight. It is low to the ground, but that's what platform beds do - so if you're unsure of height, I'm 5'5 for reference and it's probably about 6 inches off the ground? (sorry, I don't have an accurate measurement at the moment).Great bed frame - seriously. Totally worth it. Package was easily handled by myself, but it was around 50lbs.

I bought this "used-good condition". I expected it to have a few scratches, which it did. The height of the bed is pretty low in my opinion. But, There are a lot of good things about this bed. The side rail connections to the head and foot board are great, sturdier than many beds I've put together. The wood on the head and footboard appear to be real wood with grain and knots, very pretty finish. The velcro to hold the slats is ingenious. And, it comes with a super cool little ratcheting Allen wrench that I love. But, the connection from the top section of the head board to the bottom section I had problems with. The lower section was bent way out of whack. This could not have been from shipping, looked more like someone had it upside down and sat on it to splay out the sides. (Guessing it was whoever returned it - would have been nice if that defect was found before they shipped it to me) Thankfully I'm an electrician and have ways to bend pipe and was able to straighten it (some of the paint at the area of the bend was cracked as a result) but I was still not able to fully interlock the two pieces. I tried to bang on the top to coax it down (had a block of wood to help with denting) but it wouldnt budge. It's not coming apart though and the mattress covers that area so it's not too much of a problem. Bought for a teenage boy, he loves it.

This thing seemed like it was going to be great. Lots of heavy sturdy parts. It was so cheaply welded together thought that the parts would not fit together and allow the screws to fasten. Returning and will not be purchasing another Zinus product again. Beware guys.

I never could get one of the bolts holding the decorative piece at the foot of the bed to slot in correctly. Since it was not necessary to the structural integrity of the bed and the decorative piece is still held firmly enough to the frame, I'm not concerned about it. Everything else fit together perfectly, instructions were very clear, all tools were included and it was quite easy and quick for one person to assemble. (If I hadn't lost time doing a partially disassembly and reassembly to see if I could finesse that one bolt to fit it would have taken me less than 45 minutes). Just don't try to carry the box around all by yourself. Open it up and move the biggest pieces individually, then move the rest of the box.All of the decorative wood was well packed and arrived unblemished. As many other customers noted in their reviews however, the packing did not protect the tubular frame nearly as well and there is a small dent in mine (see photo). It is small so I don't lose any sleep over it (ha-ha) but be aware if you order this bed there's a strong chance this it going to happen and you're going to have to decide to live with it or take on the hassle of getting it returned.The slat system is great! It was really really easy to install (by comparison I remember tussling with slats many years ago with a different bed), seems very sturdy and doesn't squeak or create at all - not even a little.

Complete bed frame in a box, takes... 20 minutes to assemble and another 10 to throw the packaging out. That's 30 minutes. You can't even DRIVE TO a furniture store in 30 minutes yet alone have it done and out of your life.These guys are killing it, the frame is solid, looks great in photos. I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff Bezos owns Zinus.Keep up the stellar work Zinus, I'm a repeat customer and haven't bought anything I was disappointed with yet :)

The bed looks good and is pretty sturdy. The hardware is premium, including locking washers for all the screws. It took less time to put together than to unpack the thing. The included ratchet is a nice touch but I believe it is underpowered; I used instead a hammer drill (all the parts are sturdy enough to allow the enthusiastic use of power tools) with the result of a sturdy and squeak-free bed. I am almost sure that this cannot be achieved using the included ratchet, hence the occasional complaints about squeaks and the such.On the negative side, the photos use an incredibly thin mattress and so are misleading with respect to the height of the footboard. With a normal 10" thick mattress the footboard is not really a footboard since it does not rise above the mattress (in fact it only rises less than half the height of the mattress). The measurements provided in one of the photos are accurate though, so one should know what one gets into before purchasing. Still, I would have preferred to have an actual footboard. Also worth noting is that the bed glides very easily on the floor so that some form of restraints may be needed.In all, I am pretty happy with my purchase and I recommend this bed.

Beautiful bed for the price, arrived quickly and on time. Putting it together was breeze and, it came with the tools necessary to put together.My only complaint is the height off the ground. Our under-bed bins do not fit. The bed could use a couple of centimetres more off the ground. Otherwise, great find!

The box came in damaged so I was worried the wood or metal would be scuffed. To my surprise, the items inside were well secured with plently of safety foam and air bubbles to provide protection. The ease of the assembly is somthing I've never seen before, and I am happy to safe this was a good purchase.The height of the bed is shorter than expected, but it does not take away from anything if your mattress is 10 inch+.The Zinus brand on amazon is synonymous with cheap but don't let this item fool you, what I got was a quality sturdy frame, that exceeds or matches the quality I got from IKEA.
