This is a good product for the price though a little bit 1990's with the pull up Arial on the remote it is also a little cool haha! Two reasons for 4 stars hopefully you can avoid the issues with this review1. The remote control takes a really obscure battery size only a few places actually stock I tried garages, convenience stores, Nisa, CO-OP and a few others and had no luck but they do sell them on Amazon so order at the same time they say in the details it's a 1028 battery this is actually a 12V MN21 looks like a short AAA battery.2. The wiring diagram is a little confusing as you actually need two power sources for the switch to work the first source connects to the positive and negative terminals on the right hand side shown in the picture this actually powers the switch of you want this to be the circuit you are going to be switching on and off I am told you need to add a superior something to the loop of you don't as I discovered the red LED will just continue to flash and while the switch clicks like it's working it actually does nothing! To get round this I ran power to the positive connection from the car fuse box (you can use the ground from the circuit to include the switch) the used the other two connections points for the circuit to be switched.I hope that all makes sense as I took way too long to figure it out myself and felt like a total dumbbell after I finally got it working and seen just how long I spent on it ha-ha! The rest is really straightforward selecting the mode you want to use and then 're-pairing the remote and switch.

I wanted to do a remote "chicken house opener" to my grandma who's used to wake up early to open the gate for them.To make her life easier I made an electric door opener for her with this remote controller.It worked well... for 2 days... I guess the receiver did not withstand the continuous "powered" situation. So I recommend this switch for temporary applications such as "firework detonator" or light switch on a party...But for continuous usage under constant power... no chance... heh... only 2 days of lifetime... im disappointed. :/

This remote is perfect for switching whatever you need to switch in various ways. It has a theoretical range of 1000meters but in reality it is quite a bit less than this but still adequate. Simple to fit but the translation on the instructions does leave a bit to be desired. Great value for money and excellent service from the seller very quick
