Larger than what it seems. The TARDIS of camera bags.
Just got this, and used it for the first time for an entire day of photographing a motorsports convention.I went to a convention and wanted to take my sony A7 with 3 lenses. And space to put all of the flyers and brochures that I would invariably pick up. This bag was perfect for the job. It held all my gear with space to spare. I took:Sony A7 body with a Sigma 12-24 Canon mount lens with the Canon to Sony adapter and lens hood.Sony 24-240mm lens with lens hoodZeiss 55mm 1.8 lens with lens hood5 Batteriesand a water bottle in one of the 2 outside mesh pocketsThere was still space inside for 1 more medium lens or 2 small lenses.By the end of the convention it also held a free t-shirt that i picked up.about 10 catalogs ranging from 4 pages to over 100 pages adding an extra 3-5 lbsand there was still space left. more catalogs could have gone in the laptop pocket. and more stuff in the front compartment.I really like the top zipper pocket that allows me to have access to the camera gear without having to open the top flap. The strap is comfortable even after a full day.The only complaints and the only reason keeping the 5th star away were:It will not stand up, it always topples over to the front.there is no way to completely seal the camera compartment. there is a zipper access flap on the top but the main flap just has a clip. If you will be going to windy and dusty areas, (sports played on the dirt such as motorcross, or going to the beach. Dirt and Sand will find a way in.)

Alright, but has a lot of issues
Pros:Has laptop pocket.Somewhat adjustable, can fit most lenses.Side pockets are convenient.Fairly durably and attractive.Nice texture.I've used it several times a week for 3 years and not a single part has broken or even shown much wear.Cons:The main pocket doesn't seal. The cover just velcros over it, but if keep any small items in there, they can fall out. Also exposes your camera and lenses to humidity and potentially rain/dirt.There is NO WAY to make this thing stand upright when you put it down. The weight distribution of your gear will make it fall forward every time, possibly dumping everything in your loose pockets onto the ground.Shortage of storage options, the main pocket is the only place that will hold lenses or bodies. A large body (1D, 5Dm2) can basically take up so much of the main pocket that unless you're putting tiny 50mm lenses in there, the body (and attached lens) might be the only thing that will fit. This makes its usefulness very limited. Don't count on having much room for any other large items like speedlights. The accessory pocket is OK, and has a zipper, but none of the inner pockets seal at all. It has pouches for memory cards, batteries, filters, which are fine. But as soon as you put the bag down, it will tip over and dump everything out of these organized pockets and when you unzip it, everything will be in a big pile. Not cool, especially if you're trying to hold glass filters or something.I'm sure this is an issue with most messenger bag styles but leaning over will make this thing swing like a big pendulum and crash into stuff, especially if you have a laptop or heavy lenses in there.I don't recommend the single strap if you carry your laptop and a large body + lenses in here. It will make your shoulder sore quickly. Get a backpack.

No longer using it because...
Bag is roomy and made well, good material, good storage space, good padding and good ability to customize for specific equipment, very nice top opening for full access without unbuckling the flap. Unfortunately, I agree with the previous reviewer who said it tips over. I did not think this would be a big deal, but it is. Whenever I set it on the ground, a bench, the floor of the car, or in my office on the credenza, it falls over. Very frustrating. I like that you can add a pocket (I bought the one for my flash) to the outside of the bag. However, the strap is sewn on, so no "untwist" ability like other bags I've had. Strap gets all twisted around when you put it on and you have to fight with it to get it straight. And speaking from experience with other Tamrac products, Tamrac has a knack for difficult to open and close plastic buckles. Why make your own that don't work align well when you can just buy them from someone who knows how to design a buckle? For these reasons (difficult buckle, the sewn rather than clip on strap, and the tipping), I am no longer using the bag and disappointed because of the cost (looks like the price has dropped since I bought mine). I took it to luggage repair place and they quoted me $100 to reinforce it so it would not tip. I just decided to buy a different bag (a Vanguard), which I'm very happy with. No tip, the right kind of strap, convenient buckle, but no system to a pocket to the outside.I guess you can have it all, but not in ONE bag! Anyway, this one fails on three important features. So now it's out in the garage waiting for the Goodwill box. By the way, is it me, or do these guys make WAY TOO MANY bags? Just get a couple right and start with the buckles, OK?

Great carry-on bag (as "personal item")
I bought this bag since I needed to carry my camera and laptop as personal item for an upcoming trip. Most other backpacks I've seen are to big to pass as second carry-on in economy class. This bag is barely bigger than my regular laptop bag and yet I can get my Canon 50D with 4 lenses (1 large and 3 small) in it, plus my MacBook Air 11" and the iPad with all chargers and it. It's not something I want to carry for a long day, but as a travel photo bag this is perfect. On the negative side, I do share the sentiment about the clip others have voiced. It looks fancy but you have to be careful to align it correctly or it not only will not close, but it will get stuck good. The shoulder padding could have been a bit more generous and the hardware could be a bit "beefier".

Having Tested this Bag for some time now I still continue to marvel at its Value & Load capacity. All of the Photographic Kit that we use in a variety of shooting projects we never need to carry in one Bag but this one can! the specialist add ons available enable me to shoot for Surveys in all light conditions where the range of kit required is substantial. Plus at job completion present the results on the Laptop on Site as the bag will carry this TOO!. Well done Amazon for marketing this Brilliant product at a fantastic Price.

Great bag for the price
I spent ages deciding which bag to go for. Until now I had always gone for the 'backpack' type and fancied a change. I was a little concerned about the size but I needn't have worried. It's like the Tardis, bigger on the inside. You could easily fit a body and three lenses in here with plenty of depth for lenses like the 70-200 mm offerings. Depending on their size you could probably squeeze 4 if you've got a couple of short focal length primes or a short wide angle. Or you could swap one lens for a flash and / or a grip. The only bad points? There are no specific pockets for memory cards like the Lowepro bags and the front flap is held down with the clip and velcro, there's no zip.

Great Flexibility
My previous gadget bag was too small for my SLR, spare lens + connecting / power cables. This one can take all of these + instruction book, lens wipes etc.And it can accommodate my slimline laptop too. It's the 'complete' gadget bag.
