This product performed better than I could have imagined
I have some wood rotting around one of my window sills. I am replacing my windows in the next few months but wanted to make sure I could repair the wood to get me by until I get my new windows. This product performed better than I could have imagined. I'm still planning to replace my windows next Fall but this repair kit along with the addition of a little paint made a pretty smonth and sturdy repair to my rotted wood. I will definitely use this product in the future.

Worked as Advertised
This product was easy to use and saved my patio door. There was about 3 inches of rot at the bottom. I removed the rotted wood with a knife, then filled with the epoxy filler in the wood repair kit. After it hardened over night I sanded it and painted and no one can tell there was a repair needed. I'm very pleased.

A little tough to work with, but did the job

The putty was easy to work with
The putty was easy to work with. I had quite a big void to fill and ran out of putty before the job was done. Ended up using automobile body filler to finish the job. The elders dried quite hard and was easier to work with then the automobile filler, but also 10 times more expensive when factoring the price per volume. All in all, this elmers was a good product but a little pricey for what you get. I would recommend automobile body filler for cost alone.

Not worth it, other products for cheaper and better results
The elmers wood hardener in this is not very good. There are much better wood hardeners out there. The epoxy wood filler is really good, but almost too hard when it dries, making it hard to sand. If you need something that will dry to harder than concrete, this is the item. However, they don't give much. Instead, I have discovered that DAP Plastic Wood filler is much better. They sell it for much cheaper, in wood colors, it is much easier to sand, works with stain and paint, and you get a lot more that you can store. It also dries to a similar wood hardness. The only flaw is the dry time is a little longer and it is harder to mold as it is kind of loose, but overall, far superior.Minwax wood hardener is also a better product than the one that comes in this kit.

Used for my deck and works well
My deck had a few boards that were starting to rot. I purchased and applied this to the boards and they are rock solid now. If you have some minor wood rot repairs I would pick this up in a heartbeat.

Great product for wood window sills and nose sills
This product works great for rotted wood as well as any hole that you have in your wood. It comes with two sticks of Epoxy wood putty but I recommed for large holes buy more expoxy putty.
