The difference will be felt
My kid used a one piece (-11) bat for 3 seasons and immediately felt the difference with this bat. Greatly reduces vibration and sting with a great “pop”. Good for those who do not want to spend $350 for the Easton Ghost but want the 2-piece benefits. The kid is 9 yrs old (10U) at 50” tall and loves this bat. Very light weight and built solid.

Very nice.
Great Bat, reasonably priced for being a composite. And it doesn't hurt my daughter's hands.

DeMarini Bustos 2019
My daughter has been using the same DeMarini Bustos since she was 6 years old - she's now 10, so as you can imagine, I was time for an upgrade. We did some research and decided on the DeMarini CF Zen 2019, unfortunately, this bat was terrible. It had no pop, it was more like a "thunk", it vibrated a lot, and lacked a smooth transfer. After a few weeks of trying to break it in...we decided to swap it out for the DeMarini Bustos 2019. This bat is a game changer....honestly, I'm not sure why we even tried to switch? The bat is light. It has great pop. On contact, there's a smooth transfer of energy - the bat feels like it's working with you not against you. It does not vibrate. My daughter is 10 years old, average height at about 5"0, and weights about 90 lbs. She's using a 31 in 18oz. At her last practice, she was hitting about 3 ft. shy from over-the-fence! For $90.00, you just can't beat the great value! Were sticking with the DeMarini Bustos 2019!

Great Bat with decent pop!
Bought this for my daughter after she made 8U all-stars. She had previously had a 26 (-10) Easton Pink Saphire which she played with since she started in 6U. This bat definitely has more pop to it than the Easton bat. When she barrels it up, the ball definitely travels further than it ever did with the previous bat. I was a bit concerned with the dual material (composite handle, alloy barrel), but it's just fine. Even though it weighs the same as her previous bat, it did take her a few practices to get used to swinging a longer stick. So just be prepared that your child may not hit perfect the first time she uses it if she is moving significantly up in size. We moved up three inches. As a point of reference, my daughter is 8 years old. 4'3" and weighs 61 pounds. She has been playing for about 4 1/2 years. My daughter loves the look of the bat and is thrilled that it's different than all of her teammates, many of whom have the Finch bat. If I were to criticize the bat at all, it would be that as the bat is almost all black, it's a bit difficult to put her name on it. I suppose if you had one of those silver markers, you could do it. We took a black sharpie and wrote her name on the light blue section of the bat.

Night and Day...
I've been purchasing middle of the road bats for her first couple years of fast pitch and she has always made contact, but without the pop. We purchases this bat a couple weeks ago and it is night and day. I can honestly say that her equipment has been holding her back in the past. This is a great bat (-13) and confidence booster for my nine year old.

A great bat for smaller players at a great price
I bought this bat for my 9 year old daughter who plays 10U, she has been playing for a little over 3 years. She is a strong hitter, but on the smaller side and her old bat was just keeping up with her. She has been swinging the Bustos for about 3 months now and has been very successful. It has that great composite pop, but is very lightweight which is great for her small size. I think this is a great "stepping stone" bat for parents who want to try out a composite bat (yes, it is technically hybrid) without the huge $300+ price tag. I would definitely recommend!

Muy bien!
El bat bastante bien. Pará ser un compuesto de dos piezas el precio es bastante aceptable.
