So I've had this battery case on my LG v30 for a few days and I already like it a lot. I've been having trouble with the battery running low during high GPS use, while taking hundreds of pictures on vacation, and on long hikes/bike rides where there's no place to recharge. The quality of the plastic/rubber feels nice, the case fit is snug, and it doesn't get oddly hot or do anything weird. All in all, a good product.Pros:1. More than doubles your phone battery, the LG v30 has a 3300 mah battery. I let the phone run down to 0% and used the battery case to charge it all the way back up to 100%.2. Quality feels good, weight is reasonable & nothing is obstructed. Compared to my old clear protective case, this one is obviously larger & heavier, but not by very much. It's comfy enough to use on a day to day basis if you wish.3. On/off switch, the case does not automatically charge your phone. So you'll be aware if you used it up or not.4. During charging the phone & charging the case (from the wall plug), it only gets warm. It never felt uncomfortable in my front pants pocket.5. Protective, the front glass is still exposed, but it feels tough & tight enough compared to my usual air-filled protective case that I wouldn't worry about it.Con:1. Charging speed is slow, since Quick charging & Power delivery are not compatible. 5v at 1.8a (that's 9 watts) is the max whether you're charging the case, or using it to charge your phone. Plugged into the wall, you'll still only get 9 watts, meaning you need to take your phone out of the case to take advantage of your quick charger. While I knew that when purchasing, this one feature would have taken this from a good to amazing product.2. Charges phone & case simultaneously. I tried draining both of these to 0% and then plugged them in while connected. It looks like despite what the manual says, the charger & case charge together instead of the phone getting priority.I recommend this Newdery case to anyone in the market for extra battery capacity. While there are some cons, they are minor and the pros greatly outweigh them. I'm really looking forward to taking it on my next trip, which will be a lot less stressful than my last trip where I had to stop & recharge for an hour once per day. Even with the slow charging rate, I'm able to stream netflix videos with moderate brightness and the phone's % still slowly went up, so I'm confident that I can go well over 24 hours of heavy use without any worry of the phone dying.

I bought this product for a trip to the Scottish Highlands - primarily so I could use my phone as a sat nav.The case itself, while making the phone considerably more weighty, gave my V30 another full charge, plus around another 25%. It was excellent. Whilst my friends were lugging around huge external chargers, I carried just the phone and case. With this case (and one external charger in my luggage), I comfortably navigated through the first 5 days without worrying about my phone (and map) dying.Since returning, it's not often the extra charge has been required; but it is always reassuring knowing it's there in case of emergencies. I like the fact it charges the phone first before it recharges the case, and also that the opening on the rear allows space for the finger print scanner and usage of NFC payments.Recently a fault developed. Newdery were very prompt in responding to the issue and had a new case sent to me within 2 days.Brilliant case and service 👍👍

Firstly, the case was delivered next day, and the presentation was excellent - very smart, premium looking packaging, with clear, but concise product information - top marks to the seller for this.On to the actual case- I have now used this 3 days running and can report that as an external battery pack, it is excellent. The case is perfect for when you know you'll be away from a charger for an extended amount of time, and I've found charges nearly a full battery again, and quickly- especially when the phone is not in use. An added benefit that I did not expect, is, at the end of the day, you are able to leave the case on your phone when charging through the mains-, both the case and the phone will charge- may be simple, but this little detail saves you thinking about having to charge each separately.Yes, it is not the thinnest, but I'm used to having a quite bulky case for protection anyway- as you probably are, and this does not seem overly thick in comparison - but with the obvious added benefit of peace of mind of the dreaded 'Low battery' warning!With my particular phone model now being nearly 18 months old, batteries are bound to degrade over time. This case has given my phone a new lease of life - no need for carrying external packs and USB leads, everything simply and neatly all fits into one package.
