KRUPS Thermobrew EC324050 Savoy Programmable Coffee Maker 14 Cup, 9.6 X 8.3 X 14.2 In, Black & Silver

I had a Krups coffee maker for over 22 years. It had the cone shape filter. It brewed a DELICIOUS cup of coffee. It just pooped out. Of course, I'm going to purchase another Krups. The filter shaped did bother me, but I trust the company and the reviews. I thought I could return it, and the price was definitely right, it had all the features I wanted AND one more - 14 cups! When I entertain, that will be a Godsend.It's a great looking machine, easy to operate, easy to clean and you get a lot of use out of one filter (the filter that filtrates the water system, not the coffee).The two cons: the lid is LARGE, so it could make placement in your kitchen difficult; and two - and this is HUGE for those of you who work for Krups - the guide it comes with is not worth the paper and ink it's printed on. It explains absolutely nothing about the coffee maker. NOTHING. Perhaps we're to go online and seek a manual, but if so, I didn't see anything guiding me to one. There's a unique, red funnel in the middle of the carafe called a flavor funnel. It's not even mentioned in the manual, only on a sticker on the maker. What am I to do with it? Anyway, you get the drift. Still a great coffee maker!

I love the Krups brand and this coffee maker was great from the beginning until three months shy of a year of owning it. It made great coffee, very flavorful and kept it warm for 4 hours. But it eventually quit working- It would make a lot of noise and steam, but produce very little coffee. I think it has a faulty pump, because the water stopped traveling from the reservoir to the coffee grounds. Very disappointing!

What I like: Coffee does taste richer than previous coffee pots. I like that the water is filtered to help reduce calcium buildup and it seems to enhance the taste. The coffee maker looks nice.What I don't like: The documentation is lacking. It recommends that you replace the water filter every 2 months but it doesn't list the replacement filter type anywhere. You can't find filters listed for this particular model anywhere (Not even on Krups site). I ordered replacement cartridges for another model (Hopefully they fit). The lid doesn't secure to the carafe.. It just lays on top of it and you have to hold it with your thumb while pouring to keep it from falling off. I would brew without the lid but the lid is needed to open the port to allow the coffee to fill the carafe. Its supposed to make 14 cups... It doesn't. If I fill the water chamber above 6 the water leaks out onto the counter. Overall the design and documentation are poor and not worth the price. I would not recommend this coffee maker.UPDATE!! Do not buy this coffee maker. I've had it a year now and it has stopped working. I get an "E4" message on the display now and there is nothing in the documentation (or online) on what this means or how to fix it. Contacted an appliance repair person and they said its a water level sensor problem (Which explains why it leaks all over the counter when I filled the water chamber). This is absolute garbage and I would not recommend wasting your money on it.

Purchased this as a replacement for a Nostalgia coffee maker. The price was right and it had a lot more features. the first thing I noticed was that it kept coffee tasting good for hours, and I believe it is because of the design of the carafe with the thing in the middle. the only thing that I didn't like was the design of the pour spout on the carafe. It dribbles badly when pouring coffee. It had come to a point that we have learned to put a paper towel on the counter when we pour a cup. You would think that as long as this style of coffee make has been on the market, a poorly designed carafe should not be something that I am concerned with, but it is not fun to see coffee spilling everytime I fill a cup.

This was the most expensive coffee maker I've purchased. I've always gotten the $25-$35 ones from walmart. they last a few years and you replace them; not bad for that price range. Well from day 1 I never liked the flavor of the coffee. I do use creamer so it wasn't a deal breaker. It wasn't easy to understand. Like why do I have to turn it on and hit brew? I brew a lot a day, sometimes two. I'm very good at cleaning it, I'm a clean clean person. Well I wake up a year and a month later and the thing died. Wtf not a good way to start my morning. I wouldn't recommend this coffee maker personally

My initial review ,as I’ve only had it a week ,will update if I find any problems later. 1) The coffee maker make a great cup of coffee 2) It is easy to set 3) when used for hot water for tea it keeps the water very hot for 4 hours. 4) it is nice looking 5 ) . So far the best I’ve ever owned.At 6 Mos.still no trouble.For the price and the fact that nearly all coffee makers are made in China this was a good purchase.

The carafe is hard to clean, it stains like no other glass that I have ever had on a coffee pot. The carafe leaks very badly when trying to fill the reservoir and when trying to pour a cup of coffee, we constantly have to keep towels nearby. I am seriously considering tossing this one and going back to the brand that we had prior to this that after 6 years started leaking on the counter. I will not buy this brand/type again, a $20 coffee maker in Walmart works better and leaks less.

Se descompuso a los 8 meses, y empezó a tardar cerca de 30 mins en poder hacer 1 taza de café y pésimo sabor. Se usaba de manera estándar (4-6 tazas diarias) y con buenos cuidados. Todos los comentarios concluyen lo mismo: muy buen producto hasta q falla en pocos meses, y no hay nada q hacer para arreglarla. No vale la pena.

Excelente cafetera, tiene dos modalidades de preparación de café (regular y cargado); fácil de usar. El modo de preparación automático es bueno para días ajetreados. Puedes preparar hasta 14 tazas de café.

La cafetera tira agua por la parte inferior al funcionar, no es normal o puede ser error de conexión? me gustaría su comentario antes de proceder a devolverla

It stopped working after 8 months. I submitted all information they requested for warranty three weeks ago and have been left high and dry. Brutal.

La cafetera es muy moderna, fácil de usar (siempre y cuando se lean las instrucciones) programable, y muy linda.
