Yes it worked for 6 mo to keep my old Pixel 2 going but failed after 6mo
Update: 05-05-2022 Today it stopped working. I press and hold the power button on the back and the white light comes on then goes off after a second. The phone makes the tone that it is being charged then stops. I charged the case but it still won't work. If I remove the phone it charges fine.Update: 04-05-2022 it's working great. My only complaint is that sometimes the button will get pushed in my pocket would have been good if it was recessed a little more but this is a minor issue. I left the house tonight with confidence even with my phone at 16%. Just hit the charge button and let it charge to 50% then switched it off.It gave my Pixel 2 new life. I bought and changed the battery & screen in September but the "new" Maxbear brand battery but it was so bad that the phone could barely get through a day of super light use. This is my first battery case.PROS:Can probably charge the phone twice from 10% to 100% (the less capacity your battery has the less energy it is capable of absorbing.)Does not run unless you press and hold the button on the back. Will turn off if you plug it into a charger in which case you phone and case will charge at the same time.Different color lights show how much the battery has white 75-100%, green 50-75%, blue, red 0 to 25%.CONS:#1 is possible damage to the phone if dropped on the face - they should have made a raised edge.#2 You phone wont fit as securely into various holders you already own like in your car.#3 If your battery is really worn and starting to swell it will have to be replaced.Your phone and the battery can get pretty warm during charging - but you can turn it off if you thing it is too warm and turn it back on later.Often it does NOT turn off even when the phone is 100% charged (not a big deal)USB-C port can ONLY be used for charging - not for headphones or data transfer to a computer.Final thoughts...It's not perfect, but it is either keep a phone going with android 11 that works perfectly and is in like-new condition or spend $400+ on a new phone. Overall, I'm happy.TIP: when installing the phone put your finger under the male usb-c to support it AND at the top open square pull on the sides so you don't need as much pressure on the screen edge with your thumbs to seat it.TIP#2: Sometimes when doing a construction or automotive repair project the button gets pressed and my pocket gets warm.TIP#3 don't charge the phone past 60% when you are away from home. There is no need or benefit to charging to 100% as you can always top off your phone.

Great, except for unbalanced landscape grip.
I actually got 2 of these for continual use and charging without having to deal with the cable. The back power button is easy to locate without looking for easy ON/OFF. While ON or charging, it's easy to tell the charge level based on the color. I can charge several times before needing to recharge the package. It's also pretty nice that plugging in will charge the phone and battery case at the same time. The pixel 2 is actually a little too thin to grip. Adding the case makes the phone a bit brick like. It feels perfect for landscape grip ON ONE SIDE. Due to requiring a cutout for the camera and print scanner, the top side can't be evenly gripped. It's also indented for camera clearance, so it's even harder to get a balanced grip with the other side. I had to modify my grip so that I have 2 fingers below the phone for support while I extended my first fingers all the way past the cutout. I'll probably add some kind of rubber filling in the future at the cost of the print scanner to balance the grip. I don't use the camera.Case is not too difficult to remove. I simply push the top side out and it angles off the case slightly, and then slide the phone upwards off the USB.

Fairly solid but could be nicer
It was just a curiosity. It seems fairly smart but no reason the LED needs to be on when using it. I was hoping for more a supplemental battery rather than a charger. LED status on a tap or something perhaps? It could be a lot slimmer. I know we have to protect lipos but a honeycomb or even a stainless steel plate could work. It could be slim enough to be just a normal case but I assume we'd lose nfc.Regardless, would love to see a better form factor in the future. It's almost there just not quite. I hope they will keep developing. Will be keeping it and keeping an eye out.It works perfectly and is great if you need some extra capacity when away from power and such. If you have an ageing pixel2, assuming the battery is still at least 50%, this will come in handy.

Merchant reached out to me to resolve the situation - very professional!
Update 9/9/19: I was contacted by the seller who offered to issue me a refund or to replace the unit. Considering the unit still works, albeit I need to make sure it's still charging, it does indeed charge and accepted the refund. I do still use this product daily. As my old review points out, my previous unit didn't have this issue. I've updated my review to reflect the integrity of this seller as I didn't have time to reach out to them, they made the effort to contact me directly to rectify this situation.Last Note: The issue seems to have improved, as it does change rapidly, and typically doesn't stop charging for at least a half-hour. This actually can be a benefit as in case it reaches 100% and I forget to stop the charge, it doesn't waste the backup charge.Old Review: I repurchased this battery case as it worked well for nearly a year. It finally gave out after several times of dropping it. It probably saved my phone's screen, and therefore was rather satisfied since it provided a long battery life and although very bulky, did protect my phone on several occasions. That's why I was okay with reordering it. However I am very disappointed to see that it constantly stops charging, sometimes it'll charge 5% other times it'll charge 50%, and everything in between. This is clearly not supposed to be. I also noticed it doesn't display "charging rapidly" and only does some of the time. I will be calling the manufacturer for a replacement, depending on how that goes, I'll hopefully be able to update this review to show a device that works as advertised.

Very good, although I would like the bevel to be larger to protect the screen better
I like the feel of it, and I like how it seems to be able to recharge my phone more than once. I just wish the bevel was larger so that it would protect the screen better if it were to fall flat.
