Really nice flashlight, love the zoom feature.
This is a nice bright, light weight flashlight with a great zoom feature. BUT be careful ordering the batteries, you need good quality 3.7v 18650 batteries that are 3100mAH. I bought some cheap ones on Amazon (doublepow) not realizing they were only 1800 mAH… they work but are cheaply made, the positive side contact does not protrude enough to make good contact. Nice thing about the 18650 batteries is they are rechargeable.

Nice flashlight
For the money this is a very nice flashlight. Puts off a lot of light. Sucks that it didn't come with batteries, but 18650s aren't too expensive and they really make the runtime pretty decent. The zoom feature (this applies to any flashlight with this feature) seems neat at first, but when comparing this to other powerful flashlights that just have a fixed beam, i prefer the fixed beam. When the zoom is all the way in (to make it a powerful tight spot) it magnifies the actual LED chip and looks dumb, not useful at all and not very good as a spot. Anyway, nice light though, very bright.

Really bright and with variable beam focus
The wide beam is gorgeous. Fills a huge area with white light. The focused narrow beam is kind of strange where it looks like a Microsoft logo, (see pic). As you widen the beam it quickly goes away, so it's not really a deal breaker. This effect comes the four large LEDs mounted in one bulb.As you can imagine, 2000 lumens needs a lot of battery power (two 18650 batteries). You can find the batteries + charger elsewhere on Amazon.Btw, it's strictly On/Off, not 5 modes as even their own website says. I actually prefer this, as I have other multi-mode flashlights where I find the other modes somewhat annoying, having to step through them all just to turn it off. (Really, just how often do you think you'll need a strobe, other than as a novelty? It gets old real quick.)

Not worth it.
Purchased the item and not even the 1st day flashlight was defective( light goes off when it was slightly bumped)Amazon quickly replace the item. received the item work fine but after a few weeks later. flashlight started to flicker and dims down when its in high mode even though the battery is fully charged.

Might be least expensive XHP-50 flashlight. I love it!
XHP-50 is a brighter led than even the XM-L2, maybe by 2x, and the XM-L2 is better than the normal L led. That aside it is very well made and the one to get if you want to spend the extra money (and it's a bargain since XHP-50 flashlights upwards of $100 or more). The only downside, sort of, is the XHP-50 requires two 18650 batteries (which are not included). I like that they didn't try to get by with one 18650. The only downside is cost of the extra battery (which is minor, doesn't have to be the best) and that it makes the flashlight about 2" longer and a tad heavier. However, it also has a wide range of zoom than some of the others I had. Given all this, I love it and the way to go if you want bright without spending a lot of money.

Good... for the price
This flashlight is good for the price; I bought it to use as a Zoomie donor and it is slightly brighter than my 1150 lumen flashlight, which is what I expected from a claimed 2000 lumen flashlight, but did not expect it to deliver at this price. It delivered the approximate brightness I hoped, which is slightly brighter than 1200 lumen and is how I would expect 2000 lumen to compare to 1150 lumen.I am happy with it, but am knocking one star because the XHP50 is under-driven and can be a significantly brighter.Water resistance? Eh... it could be if you upgrade the O-rings, and lube them before installing. Out of the box I would not trust it.

Life is like a box of chocolates . . .
. . . you never know what you're going to get! The internal circuitry of this particular flashlight is similar to wiring multi-cells in Parallel. This means that the combined voltage of the two batteries is as if there's only one battery @ 3.7vdc (4.2 vdc when fully charged). However, the capacity is doubled which affords a longer continuous burn time (CDR). I was hoping that the voltage would be doubled by stacking the batteries as with most multi-cell flashlights (in Series). Worse yet, I compared the brightness of this flashlight to several of my single-cell 18650 flashlights and this new flashlight is noticeably dimmer . . . even with the upgraded X50 chip. Basically, this flashlight is pretty much useless to me but perhaps my grandkids won't notice the difference. If you're looking for a dim flashlight that costs too much . . . this is your baby.
