Headset Adapter for Xbox One Controller

So my overpriced Elite controller headset jack came loose. Microsoft basically told me "tough luck" and refused to help....because, my goodness it's over 1 month old (3 months of very careful use) so how could you EVER expect us to warranty something so old....yeah, whatever.Anyways, this solved the problem without me taking the controller apart. Nice to have quick access to mute, volume etc right there.Still I feel it's a bit pricey....but I didn't end up handing over more $$ to those bloodsuckers at Microsoft.

Let me premise this by saying this is our second adapter in less than two months. The first was great as it was as easy as plug in and done. Worked great. Until it didn’t. First one stopped working a month in and couldn’t return. Ordered a second and we could not get it to work. Tried everything. Updates, multiple controllers, multiple headphones. Nothing worked. Seemed the adapter had no power. 30min with Amazon tech support (they’re amazing) and we could not figure out a fix. The awesome tech support persons even searched for a contact for this manufacturer and could not find anything. I told him I googled the company too and found nothing online. Thankfully we are getting a refund from Amazon. I gave this company a second chance and it’s been a waste of my time. Looking elsewhere.Side note: why does Xbox one make it so difficult to find a compatible adapter?! Why do we need an adapter?!

I spent hours upon hours looking up videos for how to set up third party headsets on my Xbox one. I even swapped out numerous controllers and even tried out my other headphones to uncover why I could not hear any in game audio or be able to speak through my microphone while playing. Turns out it's just this piece of garbage adapter made by some cheap knockoff company who I'm sure will take no responsibility for this. I guess this is what I get for buying the fake version. DO NOT BUY.

If all you need is an adapter that will function for a short time, this should be fine for you.Like others, I was specifically looking for a method to use a headset and separate mic with a splitter on an Xbox One S controller. The general consensus is that with the proper splitter and adapter, this is feasible. Because this is a fake/knock off, this will not work.My advice is to buy the real thing from Microsoft, especially if you're trying to use a mic such as a Yeti, etc. and a headset.

I purchased this item a month ago and it has already stopped working. The window for return it closed. This is ridiculously bad. .

First of all I put a low rating on value for the money, and that is only because I think it's ridiculous that after getting a headset for the Xbox one you also have to purchase an adapter. But that is my beef with microsoft, not this company. I was going to give a horrible review at first because after a very long anticipated wait (from my kids). They have been wanting an adapter to play along with their friends for the longest I finally ordered two of these and at first they didn't work. However it was just my son's not installing them correctly lol.. I am happy they did end up working just fine and my boys are super excited they finally get to talk to their friends while playing fortnite!!!

I only go this to play games with my kids. So it doesn't get use allot. Sometimes I get static, so I have to unplug and try again, or at least move the cord around. Definitely a plus to have this. The people at Walmart dont know what they are talking about. They said the headset we bought came with the adapter. Smh....

It worked as advertised made my old controller like the new controllers cool thing is I can unplug it whenever I want didn't have to buy a new controller for my headset.
