Shure PG14/PG185 Wireless Lavalier System, M7

I Love it.I am starting a new business and my website has a series of video presentations to describe what I am doing. I know little to nothing about sound quality and the technology of it.The PG14/PG185 is very easy to use. It is quite light weight and seems fragile. I am afraid to damage it so I bought a carrying case to protect the components.I had a fairly large learning curve to get the quality that I was hoping for. I had to buy a "mic out" jack online to plug into my USB port on my computer. Then, the sound was very "hissy". I thought that I would then have to buy a pre-amp (after much research) to boost the sound and remove the hiss. A friend suggested that I get software that has "noise suppression" on it. I have Camtasia for video taping and found that it has the noise suppression.Anyway, once I got the technical issues figured out, the noise suppression, the sound quality is very good and the range to the receiver is fantastic. I can leave my home office and walk to the garage or downstairs in the basement and have no loss of signal.I wish that I didn't have to dig so hard to get / find the technical answers that I need, but, as in all, once you have the knowledge coupled with success, you feel better about the whole process.I would highly recommend the PG14/PG185 System to a friend.

I bought this mic set to replace an older set that is used in my small church. The transmitter is 75-100 feet away from the receiver and it works great. There are no pops or sound distortion. Our church uses fluorescent lights and that doesn't cause the sound to have any issues. The system is pretty much plug-n-play. I did have to change one setting on the transmitter mic to help make the mic louder but once I moved the switch it worked flawlessly. This is a great product for $299.

I'm using this microphone system with a mixer/amp and then connecting the mixer to my Canon video camera, and everything worked out great. I had to purchase a few extra cables to get everything connected, but the audio quality is good out to at least 100 feet from the receiver. Haven't encountered any problems yet, and don't expect to. Also, the shipping was fast and there was no problem with that aspect.I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a relatively inexpensive wireless mic system.

We had a world recognized speaker in front of 400 people, and this mic system failed. With all the testing done before, nothing could prepare us for 400 bodies in a room. But even with that, our distance was less than half of what it claimed to be able to reach. We were embarrassed by this product. Very unhappy with this product. Do NOT expect to get the range the box claims.

This lav has good pickup and frequency response. The mute button, which doubles as the on/off, is hard to use, especially under clothes, such as religious vestments.

I've used cheaper imitations and they always disappoint. The Shure wireless system is easy to use and consistently operates, thus far I have had no frequency interruptions!

System works great for wireless connectivity. Could use a bit better microphone. I wound up buying a different microphone to round out the set.

I have been using several other brands of wireless mics for several years, however the lavalier system sometimes has issues. I had been holding out for a Shure system and the price seemed right so I took the leap. Couldn't be happier. This works great and gets the job done.
