Comparison to Danco Microban Hair Catcher
I was pretty happy with my Danco 9D00010306 Microban Hair Catcher , but I decided to try this one after my Danco one started growing mold. The reviews for this hair stopper seem to indicate that it is a bit more resistant to mold, so I tried purchasing this one. With just a few weeks of use, I can already see that this hair stopper is much better at resisting mold--I clean it a lot less and it still looks clean and mold-free despite the less frequent upkeep compared to the Danco Hair Catcher. This is a pretty cheap and effective hair catcher. It did the job that I bought it to do perfectly...I must say, however, that I find this Evriholder hair stopper a LOT harder to clean compared to most hair stoppers I have used. The Danco Hair Catcher was a LOT easier to clean--but I still did not clean it that often....so for now, I will stick to the product that needs less cleaning but is harder to clean.

This works.
You have to clean the hair off it every time you shower. It gets slimy with soap scum. When it fills with hair it will temporarily block the drainage so the water drains slower than without it (until you peel the hair off it).BUT it works, and it works well. It lets NO hair down the drain if you use it correctly. What more can you ask of a gadget this price? Better for the environment than drain-o and better for your wallet than a plumber.Just clean it off with a piece of toilet paper (so you don't have to touch that hair and soap scum!) and flush.Once in a while, put it in the dishwasher to get the soap scum off it.Buy a new one when it's too gross to clean.STILL worth it!

Works well but plan for regular replacements.
Bought multipack. Fits my shower drain well. Starts turning yellow after 6 months and mold starts shortly after. That is when i change to a new one. Keeps the majority of hair out of drain.

Fantastic hair stopper!
This is a fantastic hair stopper, literally the best I've ever used. I hesitated to buy it since it's shape was nothing like a hairstoppers I have used for decades. This odd design gives the hairstopper more surface area, which allows water to keep draining quickly and takes a lot more hair to plug it up. With my old stoppers I had to clean the hair off after I washed my hair, then clean the hair off again after I finished my shower (yep, I shed a lot of hair). With this one I only clean the stopper off once after I'm done with the shower. And frankly this stopper could probably hold 3 times more hair than what I lose in my showers. This hairstopper was a pleasant surprise, a product that far exceeded expectations. Highly, highly recommended.Update: There is one issue with the stopper, if you press too hard on the bottom of the stopper (when trying to get the hair out of it) you can easily put a hole in the bottom of the stopper. Just be careful when doing that.

Works, but you get ankle deep water
This product is light weight and did the job of trapping hair (we had just had to call a plumber to come out and unclog a drain that we couldn't fix ourself). This hair stopper stops the hair from going down the drain, but the water itself drains super slow. I had ankle deep water both times I showered with this product. It was almost as bad as I how the water was with the clog. This will work fine for when we wash our dogs... Or so we think... So we will try it out in another tub. We ended up purchasing a different hair catcher from another company that worked much better when it came to standing water.

Very effective hair catcher
This is the second time I've bought this - don't remember where I first got it - it was at least 10 years ago. So I expect this will last at least 10 years. Eventually the old one got a hole down in the middle. It still did a pretty good job, but had a long tail of hair hanging out that hole. This has little bumps that stick up all over that aren't easy to see in the picture. But they help to catch the hair as it goes over the Hairstopper. Since I seem to shed a lot and have very fine hair, a lot of my hair ends up in the bottom. Sometimes that slows the flow of water through the drain, so I reach down and swipe the hair to the side of the little basket in the middle. Getting hair off the sides takes a little patience, but I find once I pull up a little, then I can use that to help pull the rest off. So overall, more effective hair catcher than most, and harder to clean afterwards. I think it's worth it.

GOOD, BUT HARD TO CLEAN
It catches hair for sure, but I can't stand looking at all that hair after I shower so I don't have a choice but to clean up each time. The problem is you can't clean this strainer without using your hands (and hair sticks really good to it). That means you have to clean yourself again after. I'd prefer a stainless flat strainer where I can just use my feet to push all the hair aside then pick them up with a paper towel.

works like a charm - water passes through while it catches every bit of hair
the packaging wasn't the same as picture, but the item is the same. i had bought one of these from the hardware store about a year ago and love how water goes through it and down the drain, but hair catches inside of it. i threw it away bc it got brown crust all over it over time, but i immediately bought another one on amazon. simply put it in your bathroom drain, then shower, then every time you're done with shower, pick it up, pull out the hair, throw hair away, put this back in frain. i have to look up how to stop it from getting crusty over time, but i love this and it works. i'm shocked at how much hair comes off after i shower. all that hair is now NOT going down the drain thanks to this little beauty.

not useful
somehow, this was designed to not work. water doesnt drain at all, doesnt catch hair because water pools and hair gets all over the place.0/10, defies common sense would not recommend
