I bought this to replace at the same time I replaced the battery, but this port was more work to install that I first thought. the phone has to be fully taken apart ( battery replacement needed much less work. The quality of the port is great, all parts fit perfectly, overall experience is great once you realize how much you need to do to replace this.

This probably works fine, but once I found you have to remove the screen to replace it, there was no way I am risking damaging the screen to do it. It is next to impossible to not break it on removal.There is a method to unsolder the bad USB port and put a new one on, but then you just need the port.I think it would be prudent for the seller to warn people about Samsung's terrible design requiring screen removal. It otherwise appears like an easy install.

This is the solution to your worn charging port problems. It works exactly like the original including the back and recents button. This will require removal of the screen which is no simple procedure and damaging you screen will require an expensive replacement.

Back button and multi screen buttons do not light up anymore like they did with the original cable. Everything is installed now so unfortunately I cant return it.
