Does not appear to make any contact so it'll work, took 100,000 miles for the OEM to crap out. Bolts use a long ball socket tool the kit supplies. Works great until you put some torque on it. Popped the ball off. Did I use to much force....? Didn't have a replacement tool that would work so I put the broken one in a vise and just bent it 90deg. Slow but worked fine. Little baby tube of grease that comes in the kit, NO WHERE near enough. Not an issue for me. I have plenty in my shop. Overall kit works great. Price was quite a bit cheaper than others and my Jeep maybe gets 2500 miles a year on it and most of it 2wd. I'd buy it again for another Jeep and know in advance where the issues are.
