This floating shelf comes as 1 nicely rounded solid piece of (real) wood, along with the folding supports, all the screws and bolts and a screwdriver to use them with. The wood itself feels polished, slippery even but sturdy, and the folding arms have a decent 'secureness' in the wall. I opted to locate a stud, and screw one side into that, but the other is not at a 'stud width' so had to manage with sheetrock screws. Even so, it's good enough for me to place a laptop on with no issues at all. I'm using mine as a support for laundry room things - sprays, dryer balls, pod buckets and so on, while doing laundry until they get put back into their cupboard. I particularly like the attention to detail with the countersunk bolts - they lie flush against the shelf surface and don't catch any bottles or containers. The 16" review model is a fair bit smaller than the one shown in the pictures - you could fit a laptop on it, but nothing else either side. So, be sure you have the right one when ordering if you're looking that. Other than the above it's a nice shelf, convenient if you position it behind a door - the closed size is perfect for a door's framing.

I ordered this wall mounted floating desk in hopes to build a little work space in my spare bedroom. And my hope became reality! This desk worked perfectly for the space and now I’m able to set my laptop up and remotely work from home occasionally. I’ve never used one of these fold down desks before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to quality. But this desk is heavy duty and all parts are well made. The fold down design is perfect for transforming any empty wall into a functional workspace, which is a huge plus when every inch of space matters. I love the round corner design because it prevents any accidental bumps, and the polished wood surface feels smooth & nice to the touch. When I’m not using it, I just fold it down against the wall, which frees up a lot of floor space. It’s incredibly sturdy, with heavy duty metal brackets and a solid wood shelf that can hold up to 55 lbs. Plus, you can mount it at different heights, so it fits perfectly in various rooms like the kitchen, bedroom, or even the garage. You don’t have to use it as a desk. I think it would work equally as well as a storage shelf! I was thinking about getting another one to put in my laundry room for additional storage. I do recommend mounting it on a wall stud, to keep it securely attached to the wall. Overall, this desk is great quality, easy to install and highly functional. It’s a versatile and practical way to add additional work or storage space and the cost is very budget friendly!

I was looking for a small foldable shelf for my laundry room that could be used as a folding table, and this works very well. We don’t have much space next to the dryer, but this shelf is the exact size I needed. The brackets and hardware are good quality, and everything feels sturdy. I made sure to anchor it into a stud, even though I don’t intend to put any heavy items on it. However, since you open and close it, I feel like it is better to have it securely attached to a stud for added safety. I was able to mount it at the height that works best for me, and I can still open and close the dryer door. At 11.5 by a little less than 12 inches, it is on the smaller side, but it works well for folding smaller items. It even works for folding pants and t-shirts, even though a slightly larger platform would be easier for these items. However, I like that it feels sturdy and that I can easily open the dryer when it is closed. Now, I can fold laundry in the laundry room, have everything neatly tucked away when it is not in use, and maintain free access to the dryer.

Mounted this in a small room as a compact workspace. Folds down smoothly and locks securely in place. Brackets feel sturdy for light to moderate loads. Surface is adequate for a laptop or small items. Wood finish looks clean and simple. Folds flat against the wall when not in use. Installation requires proper anchors or studs. Useful space saving solution for apartments or offices.

This fold down desk is amazing!! It can even be used as a night stand. The picture on here makes it look bigger than it is. It’s just big enough to hold your laptop

Easy to mount, suggest find a stud to mount on for extre strength. Folds out easily and holds well. Easy pop down when not in use. Plenty of room to work from. Very nice quality and value. Let me know if this helps.
