I absolutely love the Hanke 20-Inch Carry-On Luggage and honestly, this has become my favorite luggage brand. The top-loading design is a game changer, especially in small hotel rooms or cruise ship cabins where space is limited. I don’t have to fully open the suitcase flat on the floor like traditional luggage, so it takes up way less room and makes packing/unpacking so much easier. The durability is another huge plus. I actually purchased this one after already owning two other versions from Hanke, and they’ve all held up incredibly well through lots of travel. The wheels roll smoothly, the handle feels sturdy, and the overall construction feels very high quality. I also love the extra features on this model. The cupholder is surprisingly handy when navigating the airport, and having the power bank supply built into a carry-on is so convenient for charging devices on the go. Overall, this luggage combines smart design, durability, and convenience perfectly. Definitely a 5-star purchase for me!

Although I haven't used it yet, it looks extremely well-made and I'm sure it will last a lifetime. I chose the bamboo green (looks more like a beautiful teal to me). It'll be very easy to spot on the carousel. Ever since I saw a suitcase with the top-opening, I wanted one for myself. I love the extra features too, like the power bank pocket and connection, the cup holder, and the pocket for wet clothing, even a hook to hang my purse. The other thing about this suitcase is that it's well-designed with a handle at the top, a handle at the side, and a grip handle on the bottom, making it easier to lift up to put where you need to place it. It's easy to maneuver too. I can't wait to use it!

High quality. Rolls well. Deep packing area. Is a little heavy at 10 lbs but worth it for the top open style and all the accessories like bag hangers and cup holder

I already own (and love) a smaller top open Hanke carry on suitcase that’s done a lot of traveling. I absolutely love the top open style and I’ll die on the hill that it’s superior to the more common clamshell. I recently needed to get a larger checked-size luggage so I went, at first, to Hanke. While I was browsing I saw an ad for the Island Elephant brand of luggage that seemed like it had all the same features for less money so I got it. As soon as I opened the box for that suitcase I could tell it was much lower quality. I immediately bought the Hanke (and now have the pleasure of having to return a giant piece of luggage). The Hanke luggage is sturdier and flexes less. The wheels glide more smoothly. There are subtle but important design choices that tell me the luggage was actually designed by someone who cares and not someone just shoving features into luggage for the sake of saying it has features. For example, the lock on the Hanke is at the top of the suitcase making it easy to find, on the other brand it’s on the side, so it’s harder to find and reach. The cup holder on the Hanke is much easier to open, just a push of a button, and is sturdier than the fiddly Island Elephant. The phone holder is a nice touch and I love that it closes itself when you lower the luggage handle. Another small detail is that the bag hooks have a small indent in them that will hold bags better. A very tiny detail that most people wouldn’t notice but will make your life easier. The color I got isn’t quite sage but is closer to sage than the Amazon listing shows. I haven’t traveled with it yet but will update this again when I do. If it’s anything like the carry on luggage I expect it to perform well. The Hanke is already a good deal compared to traditional brands, don’t get tricked into trying an even cheaper brand!
