SOULWIT Earpads Replacement for Audio Technica ATH M50X M50XBT M50RD M40X M30X M20X MSR7 SX1 Monitor Headphones, Ear Pads Cushions with Durable Mesh Fabric, High-Density Foam - White

Replacement for Audio Technica ATH M45 New pads are a little small as compared to the OEM. I understand M45 was not specifically mentioned as compatible but the few sources I read said these were the same pads as an M50X M40X etc - basically all the same. Aside from buying OEM replacement from AT I just couldn't find any listing that clearly specified M45 compatible. These soulwit pads are able to be slipped on but I think if I were to start over I would try to find something a bit larger but I don't think vendors are listing dims in their specs - they use model #s. They feel good, however, and I plan on keeping them. For the flaking headband, I plan on simply wrapping some fabric over with a bead of hot glue to stitch the fabric closed. I need function not fashion. Hope this helps any M45 users out there!

They fit fine, but these aren't nearly as soft as originals. More importantly....they don't muffle anywhere close to the same external sound. The originals dampen considerable outside noise....these almost enhance it. The material is far cheaper and sub par.

These are surprisingly nice. Something that people may not notice right away: while the parts of the cups that contact your hair and skin are cloth, there is pleather material that goes around your ears on the inside of the cups. I suspect this is why both the noise isolation and sound signature are so close to stock. Someone put care into the design and construction of these pads. The "soccer cloth" is also very soft. Much softer in feel than the stock pleather. And less sticky too, which is good for those that live in hot or humid climates. The weave of the cloth seems quite dense, which you wouldn't expect from the soft feel. It almost feels like the OEM pleather pads to the finger. Installation was much easier than the OEM replacement pads I used before. Basically takes maybe a minute. The construction flexes in the right places. Not sure what else to say. Good price and good product. These gave my decade-old ATH-M50x a new breath of life. If your OEM pads are decaying (and they will) I would recommend buying these over the official pads that cost double the price.

Needed to replace my worn out audio technica ear pads and this did the job, material is breathable and comfortable, easy to install on to headphones and order came in good condition as described. worth it.
