Photos on 1 ft tiles with soda can for scale.So by my measurements this bag is about 22 inX 12in X 10 in when NOT expanded which sums to 44 inches. That easily meets the carry on restrictions of 45 inches for most airlines such as United, American and a lot of US carriers, . The standard domestic carry-on luggage size is 22” x 14” x 9”. So if you plan to use this as your carry on item, you should be good to go. In fact, you can take it on unexpanded, and then expand it and put your coat in it to keep it clean and it should fit in the overhead bin (it did on Southwest). If you plan on using it as the “personal item” read the next paragraph.Personal items dimensions restrictions I found were 18 x 14 x 8 for American, Frontier and Spirit. 17 x 13 x 8 for JetBlue. 18.5 x 13.5 x 8.5 for Southwest. 17x 10 x 9 for United. So technically this does not meet the personal item limit for most airlines, but is close enough you may get away with it. Took it on a Southwest flight as a personal item (not packed tightly)and did not have an issue. However, the plane was not full (which is not common nowadays) so I was able to put my purse in this, then when I got on I removed my purse and put it under my seat, expanded the bag and put my coat in the bag and put it in the overhead compartment. This was only possible as there was extra space. It would not have fit under the seat if packed full. And Southwest has larger limits so consider what airline you are flying.The 10 year warranty is really 1 year where almost everything is covered (including shipping to and from) and then 9 years where you pay to mail it in and does not cover seams, stitching fabric and zipper tape. So really, that is not much of a warranty because that is what will break. That said, I had a previous backpack from this company where the zipper broke about 2 years in, and they did fix it for free after I paid to mail it to them.Very well made. Quality material. There is not however, any sort of feet or plastic on the bottom to keep it out of the dirt. There are two real pockets, one on the inside and one on the outside that zip. The other pocket is the sleeve for putting it over the handle. That is not a pocket really.I put it in the shower with a towel inside for one minute and the towel stayed mostly try with the exception of some leaking through the zipper.

I'm a regular at seeking the best bags to travel with, always looking to lighten the load of difficulties with getting past airline dimensions while still being able to fit all my stuff inside. Or, in a road trip, being able to stuff what I need in as fe bags as possible. I've actually bought other soft Victorinox bags from travel sites before, so I know that they are an excellent quality merchandiser. And this bag is exceptional, whether you are flying, driving, or headed on a cruise. It's a very attractive holdall made of ballistic nylon--it might even make it in a gale wind from one zip code to another--by wind travel! This will handle rain, sleet, snow, or even cats and dogs. This bag isa 10 out of 10 in sturdy and formidable.I am a minimalist packer--I take only a medium sized backpack and a carryon suitcase--even on 5 week trips overseas. Yup, I don't want to be weighed down by luggage, especially as we often traverse 5 countries and 10 cities in that amount of time--by car, train, and air travel. This bag's dimensions are under the carryon limit, even on European airlines, which run smaller, and is a perfect addition to my carryon on a 35-day trip or by itself for a 2 week travel. I packed the very same type clothes I use for travel (I don't do bulky, and only one pair of shoes other than what I am wearing)--it isn't as capacious as my carryon, no, but it fits more than you may think at first glance. And the expander zipper is so well made and sturdy that it zips and unzips with ease.There are outside and inside zipper pockets (so, two in all) plus a place on the back for sliding on your luggage handle. True, there aren't a number of additional pockets for those that love a lot of compartments, but I didn't find that a al downside. I depend on my carryon or purse for that. But the external zipper is still sufficient to carry papers, documents, and odds and ends.The attachable strap is wide and adjustable--and it isn't going anywhere but your own shoulders, either. Every piece of this bag is made with quality and care. There are no cheaply made aspects to this Victorinex. I originally intended to give this to a friend but, gulp, I love it so much I want to keep it to myself. The price is right, though, to fund a few more as gifts or to every member of my family.There's a one-year total protection warranty and ten year limited warranty. The one-year warranty covers wear and tear, airline mishandling, and manufacturing defects, and will cover all expenses, including shipping. However, I expect this bag to last a lifetime, it's that well made. The seams are immaculate and sturdy, also--sewn to resist breakage. I have no qualms about unconditionally endorsing this bag with the highest accolades. It is worthy of your travels.
