Social Media Investigation for Law Enforcement

This book packs a great deal of info into 100 pages of text. Found it to be an easy and quick read. Lots of good case law and investigative methods. It's a great resource for law enforcement tasked with such investigations.

Excellent resource. Very eye opening information. Well written and easy to read. Highly recommended for anyone interested in criminal investigations.

The book is appropriate for a weekend short course CJ refresher. The reference list is good, but without digital links available, they are less than useful.

If you are looking to get into investigating social media this book is a great starting point. It touches on some key issues that everyone in law enforcement should understand before getting into an investigation .

I was really hopeful that this book would go into more detail rather than just explanations of terms and practices. I was looking for something that would explain in detail how to use social media as a tool for investigations...but it did not. It just talked about how people are using it, defined terms and talked about the future. Useful for my needs. It also had poor formatting. It looked like it was originally made for PDF/electronic use and then haphazardly put into print format. It's a good guide for people that know NOTHING about social media and that want to learn how social media is being used to investigate, but not so much as a how-to guide on going about the actual investigations.

it was a good book, but I was expecting more. It have a los of refferences about some cases were social media was crucial.

The material is focused on law aspect... I was looking more on the investigative collection and methods...

Excellent coverage of the topic. very informative. Great section of the core identity issues of social media. Would recommend this to anyone interested in the subject.
