SpeckProducts Presidio Metallic iPhone XS/iPhone X Case, Rose Gold Metallic/Dahlia Peach

I love Speck cases and have used them exclusively for years. This case kept my iPhone safe b/c Speck can't be beaten at protection, but I was surprised at how badly the case was scratched up within WEEKS of using it. I normally get a new case once a year. I've had this one for two months and I'm shopping for a new one. It just looks cheap and busted. This is my first metallic case and maybe they all get banged up like this but I expected better quality from Speck.

I really loved the look of this case when I first bought it, but since then it’s gotten fairly beaten up. The metallic finish scratches/scuffs really easily, and though I’m not the best with my phone, I don’t think I’m horribly rough with it. It’s really durable though, I drop my phone occasionally and it’s protected it well, and I really like the feel of it. The bumper is thick enough that I can tell my screen is well protected but not so bulky that I ever notice it. It isn’t so slick that my phone slides all over the place when it’s on a smooth surface, which I’ve had issues with in the past. Overall I’m still using it because I like the feel so much, I just wish it didn’t scuff so easily.

I invested in a speck case because of the well known brand name and hoped it would keep my new iPhone XS safe. The case itself is decent. My phone is protected and I like the slim profile of the case but within the first two weeks the color on the case started to rub off as you can see in the picture. I assumed when paying for a nicer branded case that it would be more durable but guess not.

I used my speck case less than 2 weeks. My iPhone was getting extremely hot which has never happened before. It was hot when it touched your face, or when you held it, the back was very, very hot. I finally took my iPhone out of the speck case. In about 3 hours, it had cooled off. I put my phone in a different speck case, and have had no problems. Going to return it ASAP.

I love the look of this metallic case, and have been buying Speck cases for years. It has the usual integrity of the Speck cases, but it scratches SO EASILY! I bought the rose gold, as well, but after only three days of using the purple one, there are significant scratches on it. I will be returning the other one. As beautiful as they are, I recommend against purchasing... :(

The color of this case is nothing like the pictures. It’s more like a nude very light rose gold finish. Not too shiny but can be considered more “feminine” to some people. The quality of the case is what you should expect from a Speck product at a great value. You need to remember that ever case will show scratches and discoloration with time. For the price though, it’s a fenomenal buy so if you don’t like how it looks in 3 months... just buy another one.

Worst Speck case I’ve ever bought. The metallic finish does not hold up at all. Wish i would have taken the reviews more seriously. I’ve only been using the case for 4 months and I’m already going to have to buy another one. It did protect my phone well but looks like trash now.Also, it’s slippery to hold.

The case itself is very durable; however, the metallic finish scratches/wares VERY easily & doesn’t look so hot in a realativelu short period of time (has it 2 months so far). As far as protecting my phone, that’s undeniable (I’m rough on my phone), it’s fantastic!. As far as protection, it’s great!
