The paper is really nice but sometimes they stick together a bit near the binding so the pages don’t open as well. The closure is good and it seems fairly durable. The faux leather cover is attractive and pleasant. The writing doesn’t bleed through the pages. All in all, very happy with the purchase. About a 4.5 star rating (would be a full five without the pages sticking)

We reviewed this journal as a potential resource for our YouTube travel channel note-taking. This is a very nice, premium feeling journal that provides excellent value for its price. The binding feels pretty good. While the product description confusingly lists both genuine and vegan leather, we can confirm this is not real leather—a fact we appreciate, as it aligns with the cruelty-free claim. It still looks and feels quite sturdy, featuring the neat Tree Growth Rings design. The core of the book is the paper, and it is good quality lined paper. The lines are spaced generously, about 3/8 of an inch, offering plenty of room for writing. Most importantly, after testing, we did not notice any bleed-through with a standard pen, which confirms the quality of the 100 GSM paper. For convenience, the journal features a pen holder that works well, though it might be tricky for very thin pens. The bookmark is a simple loop attached to the back cover that effectively helps you keep your place. This is a good bargain for a writing book like this. I give it 4 stars.

For 10.00 you cannot beat this journal. Very soft faux leather feel, 2 ribbon markers and a pen holder. Love the 180 layout when writing, your not fighting the opposing side flapping up and interfering with your writing. The closure strap is a plus and the paper is thick enough but does have a very suttle bleed through with black felt pen. No big deal though. Great buy and certainly a great price. Highly recommend !

This notebook is absolutely beautiful and feels even better than I expected. The vintage tree growth ring cover gives it a unique and elegant look that really stands out without being flashy. This is really nice and pretty journal. The leather cover isn't real leather that I can tell, but still looks very nice. The A5 size is nice for portability. It's sturdy enough and the paper holds well. I haven't had any pages come lose. I'm using it for an RP journal and so far it's been perfect. The paper is good quality. I think it's a good value.

i thought that this would be hard and sturdy, like a vintage book. it’s actually soft and leather like a bible. so it wasn’t what i was expecting. although, i love the design. i am obsessed with the tree rings. i’d love to see this in a harder sturdier book

Wow!! I own way more than my share of journals because I fill them up at warp speed. So I'm a fairly sound authority on good OR bad journals. Normally I much prefer the spiral bound notebooks for journaling. So much easier to write when you can tuck the rest of it up under. BUT. This one is so nice, I don't really care that it's bound with glue and a spine. This sucker is luxurious beyond words and I'm super excited to write in it. Makes me wanna write faster to fill up my other so I can get to it. The paper is super thick so I don't have to be concerned about bleed thru. There is a place for the date. Headings. And the all important "memo No.". I'm just kidding, that one's not so important, but it's a space to put anything else you may need, like the date of whatever I'm taking notes on, etc ... It even had a spot to notate whether it was rainy or sunshine-y that day. And while all those things are nice, my favorite thing about this journal is on the outside ... The cover. The cover of this beaut is done in brown leather. At least I'm fairly sure it's real leather. Even has the vague scent of it. But the front cover is the marvel...I'm a tree lover. 100%. LOVE them. Everything about them. And what does the front side of this journal resemble? The rings of a tree. The inside of a beautiful amazing tree. Which was a happy surprise for me, since it didn't so much show up in the pictures...at least not in the ad that I ordered this from. So....bottom line: I'd highly recommend this journal...and would suggest you snatch it up quickly before it's sold out. Because I imagine a lot of folks will do what I'm about to, and go back to buy another just to have on hand. For sure. Hopefully it comes in another color, but if not, I'll buy it in this same one. I’ve been using this journal notebook for a while now, and it has quickly become one of my favourites for everyday writing. This journal has a classic look with a textured cover that feels sturdy. The paper is thick enough for everyday writing without heavy bleed through. i found the A5 size easy to carry in a bag for work or study. ive filled a few pages already and the binding still feels solid. The pages turn smoothly and lie fairly flat, making it practical for daily notes.

My first impressions of this notebook is that it would make a perfect gift. It comes packaged in a strong cardboard presentation box which adds to the premium feel. The cover is PU leather and not actual leather as stated in the title description. If you read all of the product description it does state this but I have deducted a star as it is misleading. That said, the cover is beautifully embossed with a tree design and is nice and thick so will provide good protection. The pages are thick enough that ink does not bleed through. I like the fact that this journal does not have any printed dates so can be used at any time and for multiple purposes. It would also appeal to all genders. I am planning to use mine as a planning tool for sewing projects and with 256 pages, it will last me a very long time. Overall, a premium notebook/journal that I would happily purchase for either myself or a gift in future.

First of all, a gripe. Not specifically just for this item but a trend that I've noticed and which this item is perpetrating - this is not leather. Why should I have to check the details in the listing to see "PU" or "vegan" before the word leather? It seems calling something leather now is ok if it's not real and only real leather is described as such or 'genuine'. So yeah, it's plastic. Anyway, that aside it's actually a lovely book and very well thought out with an internal pocket, bookmarks, a pen holder and useful day / weather etc content at the top of each page. The paper used is of a really nice quality and is thick enough to take 'wet' ink without bleed through. It's a lovely smooth sheet and a pleasure to write on. This would make a lovely thoughtful gift for the right person or yourself and it's a good size but not too big for EDC. The tree pattern is nice but it's only on the front. I kind of wish it was the whole cover. My minor gripes aren't enough to drop a star here though and I think this is a lovely book and good value.
