Monty Roberts Dually Headcollar

This headcollar has made all the difference to my pony's behaviour. He used to have a naughty habit of setting off across the yard when he felt like it and dragging me with him. I watched the video that came with the headcollar and practiced with it in the school. His behaviour immediately became polite and respectful. Now when he's wearing it he doesn't even attempt to be disobedient. This is particularly important when catching him in the field. It is steep and muddy and he used to barge ahead and I had to let him go. Now when I ask him to stand still he does so straight away.

My wife put this headcollar on our ex racehorse (who is a rescue horse) to lead him into his box as he would get very agitated about going in there,, we believe he was attacked by a previous owner in a box so therefore he was petrified about going in there? But after he was led in with this headcollar for the first time he was wary ,jumpy etc about going in? But he went in as good as we could have hoped?and after that he took one look at the head collar and he walked right in? Which was amazing to see as he had as far as we can contemplate overcome his fear of the box? That with the fact we have had him for five years now and he has never heard a raised voice to him let alone abuse??so this head collar settled him and us as we did not like seeing him afraid? He now goes in his box with no drama??? Which is brilliant 👍😃 thanks monty👍😀

Excellent. My Irish draft filly was trying her luck alot in a normal headcollar and was starting to get bad manners, the Monty Roberts has changed her behaviour straight away, she now knows who is boss and the manners are returning, definitely recommend, the free DVD is full of useful tips too.

I bought this for a young Fell pony and it has helped with leading, backing up and general manners being led, in the stable and when he is spooking at things. I feel in good control and the headcollar is kind to him, not much effort required to control. I watched the dvd and some You Tube videos and found them helpful to learn technique on how to use the headcollar. I would highly recommend for youngsters and bargy adults with no manners! It is very well made with good quality fittings and is the best purchase I made for the pony so far.

This headcollar is excellent and I bought my first one in 2004 to hold my section d and as long as he was wearing it he never tried to drag me. I have just bought another for my young fresian who is getting a bit full of herself and again she doesn't even try to take me on when she's wearing it.

Excellent, strong quality, best made headcollar there is. Using to help teach my strong young cob how to lead nicely, and will use it for backing and riding. I don't use "natural" horsemanship, there are much better ways using Positive Reinforcement, this is the only piece of equipment I use , but only in the initial stages , not forever as that means the horse hasn't been taught properly.

I have been training a young Shire Horse but I was unable to maintain complete control using a normal head collar. The Monty Roberts Dually holter has allowed me to establish control which has resulted in my Horse now following my every command which has lead to a happier relationship. He now has manners and respect for myself and yard staff. Please note you should only use the Monty Roberts Holter to encourage good behaviour and not to punish bad behaviour. Your horse is always your friend.

The nearest thing to a magic set I've ever had. I have a big beastie if a horse that gets bargy to bring in when he thinks it's tea time and this has him behaving like a Dope on a Rope. Worth every penny.
