Game-Changer for Large Dogs!
Game-Changer for Large Dogs! This Back Front Seat Extender is a must-have for anyone traveling with large breeds. If you have a dog that usually struggles to get comfortable in the back seat, this platform completely solves that problem. It effectively bridges the gap between the front and back seats, creating a solid, flat surface that gives your dog much more room to stretch out safely. The adjustable design is great because it fits a variety of vehicles, from smaller cars to larger SUVs. It's incredibly sturdy—holding up to 200 lbs—so even the heaviest pups will feel secure without the "hammock" effect of standard seat covers. One helpful tip: While the surface is durable, it can be a bit slick for some dogs. I recommend placing a non-slip dog bed or a textured blanket on top of the platform. This gives your dog extra traction during turns and makes the ride much more comfortable for them. Overall, it’s a high-quality, heavy-duty solution for keeping your big dogs safe and happy on the road!

Sturdy extender
Nice storage box that doubles as a dog platform. Fits well in the front seat. Not sure about comfort as I’m not sitting on it, but it is super sturdy!

Over Priced
This is way over priced. I like it and needed it fast so I didn't return. Be aware though, its just a storgage box that if high enough so they can rest.

Two more flaps for the middle compartment and it would be perfect
I recently ordered this seat extender with storage specifically designed for my 100+ pound dog, and I want to share my thoughts and experiences with it. The concept behind the product is fantastic, and it has several features that I genuinely love. However, there is one small detail that, if addressed, could elevate this product from being a good choice to an excellent one. The extender comes with dividers that use Velcro to secure themselves, reinforcing the sides of the box. While this design helps compartmentalize the space, I believe that including two additional dividers to support the middle section would significantly enhance the extender’s ability to hold the weight it advertises. For context, I weigh 115 pounds, and when I stood on the box, I found it necessary to position my feet solely on the outer compartments. The middle compartment, unfortunately, acts as a fold point, which means that without reinforcement on the sides, it tends to collapse inward under weight. Despite this minor setback, I was determined to make this box work for my needs. I had a few reasons for choosing this extender: primarily, to create extra space in the cab for my dog on our longer trips, and also to provide a step for my senior dog, who is struggling with the height of my truck. Given his weight of over 100 pounds, I quickly realized that there was no way the extender could serve its intended purpose without some additional support. To solve this issue, I repurposed some Styrofoam from a previous Amazon shipment, which happened to fit perfectly inside the middle compartment. This homemade solution provided the much-needed structural reinforcement, allowing the box to support my dog's weight. Now, I can confidently stand on it without fear of it collapsing. The design also allows me to utilize the side compartments for practical storage — I keep leashes, toys, poop bags, and other essentials handy. Additionally, with the added support from the Styrofoam, I finally have a mobile step stool that serves its purpose well. It’s the perfect height for my dog to jump into the truck and provides a boost as he gets out, making the whole process easier for him. Overall, I’m quite impressed with the functionality of this seat extender and the clever design it offers. It has exceeded my initial expectations in terms of utility, despite the initial issue with the middle compartment. I sincerely hope that the makers consider adding two more flaps to reinforce that section in future designs. For anyone in a similar situation as I am, I would definitely recommend this handy storage backseat extender; it has been a valuable addition to our travels.

Shockingly Sturdy and Perfect for Big Dogs
Way more than I expected. When I was putting it together, I honestly thought, “Yeah… there’s no way this is going to hold my Great Dane.” But I was completely wrong. It’s incredibly sturdy — I even stood on it myself, and it held my weight without any issue. The storage is a huge bonus. There’s room for everything you need in the car: jumper cables, travel dog bowls, paper towels, all the random dog‑parent essentials. Way more space than I expected, and for the price, it’s a really solid deal. If you’ve got a big dog and want them to ride comfortably without falling into the gap between seats, this thing delivers.

Sits a little lower than by back seat but holds up to its weight limit
I have a small car, 2 big dogs and one Chi. They like to ride in the car. The big one (A Great Pyrennes) has a hard time getting into the car. Then he puts his rear on the seat and his front legs in the floor. I thought this might function better for him and be more comfortable. When I went to take a pic today, he wouldn’t get in the car. He is usually afraid of anything new so I didn’t force him. The Chi is always camera ready. The seat extender sits a little lower than my back seat so I don’t know if the height of it really doesn’t “extend” the seat. I did sit on it myself and I weigh less than 200lbs but more than my big guy weighs 140lbs. I can’t say positively that is will work because of the difference in the height of the box and the height of my back seat. The box folds flat which makes it easy for storage but I left it assembled because it WAS A BEAR to put together. The box is fabric with lots of very strong velcro, which kept grabbing onto the fabric of my car’s upholstery or to the wrong pieces of velcro on the inside of the box. There were no instructions. If it works, it is a good value for the money and would certainly help a big dog have more leg room. I think the product would be more functional if it came in different heights so it could be matched to the height of one’s back seat. It is a great idea though. It isn’t very wide but if it’s just for more leg room, that should be much of a problem. I do love that the box has storage space inside for leashes, treats, or anything else one might be traveling with.
