Not what I expected, a great history book indeed, but I was looking for a Seville Row style book, not a English military history lesson.

A magnificent book on a magnificent business. The military uniforms are quite superb, maybe like Michael Jackson did I should purchase one myself. The embroidery (if that's the correct term) is out of this world.

This is a beautifully produced coffee table book with much history in it and some very interesting old paintings reproduced. I would have liked to have seen a modern day customer going through the process of having a suit or coat made. It would have been interesting to see the people cutting the cloth and how many ":Try ons" were needed before the great moment when the suit was ready. None the less I was a great pleasure to look through this book and it is one you can "Dip into" and come back to again and again. I would have liked more information on the various materials, and to learn which were more costly than others. As a Art Book it could not be bettered, the quality of the reproduction is first class. There must have been some VIPs who would not have minded being in the book. I love it, but I am a bit disappointed as a lover of mens quality suits and coats that I saw so little of the current stock. on their own regular customers. not justthe very handsome young model, older gentlemen can look good too.
