It's a great Chuck. I threaded a 1/2" rod and mounted it on it. I put that 1/2" Rod in a 1/2" collet. I use it to mount any drill bit in my CNC mill. (I believe these chucks have 1/2"-20 thread, which I wasn't aware of and didn't have a die (tap and die) for.)

I got this to replace a 3/8 chuck, it's kind of cheap and hard to use, not like other jacobs chucks I've had. I wanted the one with the solid steel sleeve at the bottom, couldn't find it pictured or listed, except as dewalt oem, and no picture or description worth looking at there. When using in reverse, there is a tendency for the bit to drop out. Ouch.

Put on my Craftsman drill. Don't have the bit slippage I always had with the original chuck.

Worked perfect for my drill.
