I ordered this lock for one of the barn doors in our garage leading to a half bath and storage area. I was actually really surprised at the quality of the lock considering how cheap the price is. It functions as advertised and I Have absolutely no complaints.

I bought this lock because I needed something basic to secure a door without dealing with complicated childproof mechanisms. In that regard, it works fine — easy to use, no extra buttons or tricks, and it installed quickly with just a screwdriver. Pros: • Very easy to install — I had it up and working in less than 10 minutes. • Decent build quality — metal construction feels sturdier than the plastic options out there. • Simple design — nothing confusing or overly engineered. Cons: • Definitely not childproof — which might be a pro or a con depending on your needs. My toddler figured it out within minutes, so this wouldn’t be suitable if you’re trying to keep kids out of certain rooms. • The lock has a slight looseness when engaged — it holds the door closed, but it doesn’t feel ultra-secure. Overall, it does the job for low-security needs, like a closet or home office, but I wouldn’t rely on it for anything where safety or strong security is a concern.
