The microphone that you, didn't know you needed.
Great mic for harmonica or mid-range effect vocals, like "Dead and Bloated" from Stone Temple Pilots.

This is an extraordinary mic! And I love the sound, never mind the history of the "green bullet"!
The shape the color, the sound!👍

The Green Bullet Microphone
As a harmonica player I have used a Green Bullet microphone for over 35 years. This is my second Green Bullet as I feel it is the best microphone for harmonica amplification.

Rock a rolla with controla
It`s just what the jam doctor ordered! Flippin awesome! Been playing harp a long time and always wanted one of these, but i live way out here in the waste lands. So i never have seen one in the small town shops. Thanks to Amazon I finally have access to groovy stuff. The tone is great. fit and finish is great. the volume knob is mighty handy. A friend played one of the old ones back in the late 70s through a Fender Champ. This new Bullet does not have quite as much rasp as that old one but i think it sounds better on a clean Bassman.

Mostly great
While the sound and build are as good as everyone says, there are two blatant flaws, both stemming from the same place: the volume knob. Dialing the volume knob results in a loud static-y noise broadcast from the amp, which completely undermines the purpose of having live local volume control. I returned the first one I got, assuming it was defective, but alas the replacement has the same issue. Either this is a major design flaw, or the defect is so commonplace as to de facto make it a part of the design. The other defect stems from the fact that the knob, which is a recent addition, replaced what used to be a threaded hole where conceivably one could rig a connection to a mic stand. Now one has to order a third-party plastic piece and hope for the best. This seems like a big oversight, for although this is billed as a harmonica mic, many if not most harp players are also vocalists who need to put the mic down sometimes. Those two defects aside, it is still a great relief to have high-quality electronics inside a satisfyingly solid and heavy metal housing, the likes of which are rarely still seen. Even the fact that this is a non-cardioid microphone that picks up all kinds of background noise adds to its old-school charm. UPDATE: After a few sessions of good use, the static noise on the volume knob went away, so I revise my rating up to 41/2 stars. Presumably it just need to loosen up and self-lubricate.

Price, looks, cachet, build quality, has it all Easy to use, and just adds that slight swagger to a journeyman trainee at best.

I play harp in a local blues band. I've used this mike for 14 years of gigging. Not one problem. Old one got rusty it time for new one.
