LEKI Micro Vario Ti Cor-Tec DSS Trekking Poles

Fantastic hiking poles which are fairly light weight, I replaced the orignial Leki hiking poles (super Makalu) which were ~20 years old, endured a couple thousand miles and still work like the day they were purchased, of course they had some maintenance over the years. The new poles seem to be of the same quality and look forward to putting them to good use over the years.

Complicated to assemble, hard to find the locking button when assembling, and hard to maneuver when unassembled. In short, it's too time-consuming and complicated to assemble then. When they are assembled, though, they're strong and light.

When hiking, it is often necessary to fold the poles (unless you're on a flat promenade). These poles do not fold easily. Get telescoping poles.

I am recovering from a shattered femur and this has been very helpful in the recovery process. The cane lets you lean a little too much where this keeps you balanced and forces you to use your muscles in a better way. I have used it indoors with tips to protect the surface and out on the easy trails. Very happy!
