Just as good as Reviewers Had Said
I hooked up one DVR to four tvs but needed a way to use different remote controls to work on the different tvs, as the lines of sight were blocked by walls and floors, etc. Well, after researching and finding this product, it looked like it would solve my problem. And it did! I've had it for one moth now and this gadget allows me to control the DVR and 3 tvs from anywhere in the house, including the patio! (One remote is in the same room as the DVR so I didn't need the product for this one tv). Of course, each tv would show the same channel at one time but that's fine for just my husband and I. I brought my CATV out to my backyard patio about 50 feet away from this unit and it works fine. In our bedroom, the remote control is now easier to use and it doesn't need to be pointed directly at the tv. I bought two extras batteries so it would work with 3 remotes but totally worth it. This gadget will pay for itself in less than 6 months because I can return one dvr/set top box to the cable co. My husband can't believe I hooked everything up and got all remotes working properly. If you are on the fence about this product, get it. You won't be disappointed.

Works well if you know the secret
Bought one of these and could not get it to work with my Dish Network receiver in my motorhome. Read all documentation with it and even searched the internet. Could not figure it out. Finally talked with a cable installer friend and he's recommended that I make sure that the Dish remote address be set to "1". He was told that the Extender would not work on any other address setting. I checked and originally my remote was set to "13". Changed it to "1" and all magically started working!! Little piece of information that would be good to know for anyone who is trying to use this with a Dish Network system. Otherwise, I have had the setup in place for a month and have had no complaints or problems.

works great!
We don't want strings of wires hanging from our wall mounted TV to the table below. We poked a hole through the wall and put the DVR, etc. in a cabinet behind the wall. This little baby allows us to use the remote through he wall - ingenious. The only problem is that the special battery device needs to be charged regularly. You can't use it when it is being charged - so we purchased a second Next Generation Extra Rf Battery Transmitter for continual charging.

This unit is a life saver for those who have satellite TV systems
We have three of these devices, they have solved the problem of using infra red controllers. Especially for those using satellite TV receivers such as Directv. The satellite receiver can be in one end of the house allowing the TV channels to be controlled. Great for motor homes that may have their satellite receivers in their bays or out of range of the infra red controller signal. Or in our case, the satellite receiver is in the garage, yet we can change channels, etc. in the TV's located almost 150 away, through a number of walls.

Could've been an outlier.
I've been selling and installing these NextGen spaceships for four years. Recently. I purchased 2 and one was dead right out the box. First time that's happened. Haven't returned it yet. I wonder how that will go? Still, a nice product.

Great product.
This solved issues for adjusting the amps sound when sitting 180 degrees from the TV that swivels. Great product.

Save your money
The RF signal was only slightly better than the IR one. This marginal improvement was not worth the cost and effort.

It works. But not flawless. I use this ...
It works. But not flawless. I use this for controlling my home theater equipment which I positioned behind the viewers. I usually need to hunt for the right angle holding the remote for it to work.
