Absolutely love this!! Our cabinets are very short and we have a counter top glass stove top that our two year old can easily touch. We got this to help with safety and it has honestly been amazing! It’s easy to clean, stays in place and does not get hot.

A little pricey but definitely worth the peace of mind! It is very nice looking, better than I thought it would look. It's super easy to take apart. I was boiling a large pot of water and sauteing some chicken (both on the front burners) and after about 15 mins of the burners running on high, I touched the paneling and held my hand there for over 20 seconds. It was pretty warm but I wouldn't say it was hot. It was more towards the top of the panel that was the warmest temp and my toddler who is very tall for his age probably couldn't reach(he is 18 months and fits in 3T clothes). I'm very happy I spent the money. Love the fact that he can't play with the knobs anymore and can't reach and touch the burner(I was always on edge with this since we have an open concept kitchen) Don't usually write reviews but since I was so happy and pleased with the child proofing, figured I'd try to help other mommy's and daddy's out!

Putting it together is not hard but not as easy as the video shows either. My range is a bit longer, so with it being extended it almost got to the end. I bought this so that my new three hyper-active kittens do not jump directly to the stove and could cause them to get burned. And this works.

In concept, anybody having a child who can reach and pull things off the counter, needs to have this product. My grandson often sneaks up behind me without notice and I'm horrified by what could happen if I turn away even for a second. He understands "hot" and he knows not to touch, but he is two. This product has eliminated any doubt, plus it minimizes splatter. It is sturdy, adjusts easily to any width, looks really nice, and disassembles easily and completely in seconds for cleaning leaving only the two small mounting tracks on the sides. The tracks are hardly noticeable if you only used this guard part time (grandkids visiting, etc). The only downside is that it is in the way when trying to fry eggs or something and need to get under them with a spatula. You adjust to it and the inconvenience is not comparable to the benefit of having this peace of mind.

I really wasn't sure whether to purchase this because it had so little feedback, but so far it's perfect for what we needed. I'm trying to keep my 2 year old safe from the stove top, without completely restructuring our open floor plan. We only use the back burners, and now with this cover, he has stopped noticing the stove top at all. It's view is obscured. Even if he was interested he can't reach anything behind the cover. So far it's really giving me piece of mind. It also happens to be nice looking and blends in easily with a 'modern' looking kitchen.

We bought this bc our toddler is a bit adventurous these days. He reaches up on the counters and we’ve tried locking everything lockable. The only part we had worries abt was the stove. This is the perfect fit for us, we don’t even realize it’s there when we are cooking, it doesn’t get in the way. It is very secure, and doesn’t get hot. I feel so much less stressed when I’m cooking now and don’t have to worry about curious fingers reaching up to see what I’m doing. Buy this, it’s worth it!

I bought this product recently and installed it. The height and adjustable width are good. The stainless steel/black color matches my stove and as mentioned on the product description, it doesn't get hot. The sides have a good firm hold.Tip for other customers: Do read the instructions carefully before installing- as it was a bit confusing at first. For example the flat side of the top front panel lines in the middle to meet the flat side of the bottom front panel.

Place this thing on the stoveAs the mother of a tall and curious toddler, I was having daymares of him reaching up and burning himself on the stove every time we cooked, so I caved and dropped some Christmas money on this bad boy. It's only been a few days since we started using it, but already it has added protection and eased anxiety.My son can't reach the hot stove if he wanted to, and if he does touch the stove guard, it isn't hot enough to hurt him.It's a tad more challenging to cook around it, but the trade-off is totally worth it, and it requires the cook to keep pot handles turned out of reach. I'm surprised there aren't more companies who make this kind of thing. Recommended!
