Pendleton Men's Long Sleeve Button Front Classic-Fit Guide Shirt

"You get what you pay for" is usually a justification for junk that you get because you cheap out. This is the antithesis of that. Even though I got a great deal on this shirt, is was worth every dime of the suggested price.I have waited a long time to pull the trigger on a pendelton shirt. I bought this shirt as my go-to outdoor cool-weather top. It can be worn with just a t-shirt underneath, but throw on a full base layer and you get all the good but no itch. The collar is lined, for comfort. This shirt is the perfect weight for fall/winter. I tried on about 5 different pendleton shirts (thanks prime wardrobe) before getting this one. Please be aware that they offer a wide range of wool weights, cuts, etc.This one is washable and we just follow the instructions. Cold wash, hang to dry. My wife throws some wool-specific fabric treatment in the wash with it, too.The shirt is not a particularly trim fit, but that serves it's purpose as a camp shirt (you'll typically throw it over a base layer and a tee when the temp changes). If you are looking for a fashion statement, you'll need a less-traditional shirt. I'm 5'8", 152 lbs with a standard build (37" chest) and the small was a great length with a bit of room for long johns underneath without getting tight. Definitely a bit roomier than my casual shirts, but the right fit for its task.I use this shirt in the evenings camping in the High Uintas of Utah in the summer (night time temps ~40F) and as my top layer in the fall (or active snowsports in the winter). In the winter this is a perfect component to my layering system. Right between my base layer and my down jacket. It keeps me comfy cozy under the hardshell, but lets me strip down to it when the sunshine comes out or I start moving around.Take my advice and spend a bit of time waiting and watching. I was able to snag my size in the blue/black buffalo print for $66 (prime) instead of the usual $135. Don't worry, I used the savings to buy a pendleton shetland sweater as the next layer up from this shirt.

My son loves it, claims it will last a lifetime!
