Hutzler Melamine Mixing Bowl, 2-Liter, Purple

This is not as refined and nice as the Rosti Mepal versions. The color is nice, but the lip is not as smooth; you can see the machine grind marks. It is also a bit like chocolate that is losing its temper (where is goes chalky). While this is not chalky, I can see where there was either a change in temperature or in the molten melamine mix when it got poured into the mold. I tried to take pictures, but the highly reflective surface shows too much background reflections and not enough pure surface. I was disappointed after having ordered the real Rosti Mepal version a few weeks earlier. This one cost a bit less, and the quality suffered.Otherwise, this design is classic and extremely useful. I searched for many months for these in cobalt/indigo blue, and I am thankful to finally find them on Amazon. Order with caution, knowing that these may not be quite perfect. It still functions well, and looks good at a distance.

I was very excited to order this bowl and I finally got to order and when it came I was so disappointed with the size! 3 liters should be a bowl bigger so you have room to actually stir something, but actual 3 liters measured into it leaves about a inch of room at most to work with. Unacceptable. The design is wonderful and it is the beautiful color I wanted and has a gripper ring on the bottom but now I have to return it because it’s not big enough and unfortunately it doesn’t come any bigger so I’m very disappointed.

I put chocolate chips into the bowl and threw it into the microwave to melt the chips. The bowl was hot to the touch and the chocolate chips we not melted. I stuck them back into the microwave and now the bowl was almost too hot to touch and the chips were barely melted. I have used the bowl for other things and I love it....but I've learned....don't use it for melting chocolate chips in the microwave.

This was purchased as a replacement for the one that finally broke after 15 years of use. This one is nice looking, but I do not think it will hold up for the next 15 years, it is rather lightweight.

Live the bowl but took 3 tries to get it. Dilute to poor packaging the first came broken. The second had the rubber ring from the bottom missing. Checking carefully when it arrives. Live the color choices.

I thought it would be bigger but I am suprised that it is just big enough for most jobs. It is a great quality and color! I struggled with the price but I do love it and use it often!

When the description says "Non-skid rubber ring bottom keeps the bowl in place" I expect it to be there. It wasn't, and it's not in the box. Shoddy quality control, and I see that I'm not the only one with this problem.Be forewarned. I won't buy from them again.

I got the cobalt blue bowl. It appears to be quite sturdy. Love that it has a handle and a pour lip...very handy. The non-slip bottom is perfect (I can use my hand mixer without holding onto the bowl. It's a perfect size for mixing cookies, waffles, etc. And the price was right.

This bowl is replacing a melamine bowl that I had for years. I like this bowl because it is nice and deep, so no splatter when blending liquids. The quality of the bowl seems to be good so far, smooth edges and bright yellow colour. The only problem is the rubber ring which fell out in less than a month. It doesn't appear to have any type of glue to secure it to the bowl. I've epoxied it back in, so we'll see how this holds out in the long term.

This is a very versatile product, can be a bowl and jug. Good quality material too.
