Question 1

Is the Joan bra padded or unlined? Does it have an underwire? What does the double-layer fabric do?

Accepted Answer

It is unlined and has no foam padding. The cups use two layers of stretch fabric, including inner mesh, so double-layer does not mean padded. It is an underwire bra designed to provide structure, separation and support for fuller busts.

Question 2

What does the minimizer do, and how much size reduction should I expect?

Accepted Answer

A minimizer redistributes the bust to create a less projected, more streamlined look under clothing; it does not physically reduce breast size. No cup-size reduction is guaranteed, because the effect varies with breast shape, fit and clothing.

Question 3

How do I choose my size, and how should the band, cups, center gore and underwire fit?

Accepted Answer

Measure underbust and fullest bust, then use the current HSIA size chart, not your usual size alone. A good fit has a level band, cups containing all tissue, a center gore lying close, and wire surrounding rather than sitting on breast tissue.

Question 4

Who is this bra designed for? Is it for all-day wear and exercise? Can I wear it under T-shirts?

Accepted Answer

Designed for fuller busts, this full-coverage underwire bra supports everyday wear under T-shirts, workwear and dresses. It offers structured lift and shaping, not for high-impact sports. Correct sizing is essential for extended wear.

Question 5

How should I wash and care for this bra? Can I machine dry it? How to protect the underwire?

Accepted Answer

Hand wash cold or use a lingerie bag on a gentle cycle. Hang or lay flat to dry; do not machine dry. Avoid twisting or folding the cups to help protect the underwire. Always follow the sewn-in care label.
