Great product
This stuff is great. It melts quickly when you apply heat and is easy to work with. One container can cover a large area depending on how many cracks you have overall. Will definitely purchase again.

Best way to repair cracks
I had multiple cracks in my driveway. I used several methods to repair the cracks including blocks of tar, trowel applied filler and this rope filler. By far the easiest method is this product. I laid it in or close to the crack and used a brush burner with a propane tank. It flows right into the crack and adheres well to the asphalt. It's somewhat expensive but a great product!

Good for larger cracks
Good fill, but too thick for most driveway cracks if you are maintaining it on a regular basis.

Make sure to use a hand torch to put in place.
This stuff is great. I used a hand torch, think small plumbing type. I placed the material in a crack by running a torch over it. That made the product malleable enough to hold its shape. Came behind that with a large weed torch to finish the job. Worked great. Now to see how long it lasts.

Does the Job
Husband has used this product for years, both the large and small tubing. Although it's not a job he particularly enjoys, this product (and my husband's perseverance) does the job and has saved our driveway.

Works very well.
I love this stuff for asphalt cracks.

Best Yet
This may allow me to postpone a new driveway for another five years. Although it cracked by winter, they are very narrow cracks unlike everything else I've tried. They'll need minimum reworking to reseal in the spring.

4 tips
Tip 1 - If you slightly cook the rope with your torch, it pushes into the cracks better.Tip 2 - If you slightly overcook the rope, hot tar will stick to your finger and painfully boil it as you jump around the driveway (see illustration 1).Tip 3 - If you experience tip 2, no matter how painful, resist the urge to pull it off with any other fingers (see illustration 2).Tip 4 - Make sure you know your phone's 4 digit PIN prior to beginning work,as there's a chance your fingerprint reader won't work.
