Bought as just received NHS pads (I am 73 and been paying for my own up to now) and to be honest they arrived just before the lock down and are hopelessly inadequate so nothing can be done for reassessing me till after the lockdown ends. I had thus to buy bed some bed for accidental overflow from my pads. The leaflet said wash before use. So off I go to communal laundry room which was empty. I put two bed pads in the big washer and watched as they soaked up all the water so they went through the wash cycle, spinning and rinse cycles with hardly any water to be seen. This told me how good they are at absorbing but I did not use any washing liquid as the pads were unused. A gent came in for his washing from the dryer as I took them out of the washer and remarked he washed his wife's bed pads (same sort) one at a time and to allow lots of time for drying. He was not kidding. Eventually I removed one pad from dryer till the other was dry. Normally of course you would only have one wet. He said to leave the pad open and flat till all warmth for dryer had gone or I'd find the lads damp when I got back to my flat. I slept on the bed pads wearing my own night pads and so it was luckily three days before I needed to wash it. I did my normal wash and put in dryer then put pad in wash with normal amount of wash liquid but the whole washer filled with foam even in rinse cycles as all the water got absorbed in the pad. After wash cycle ended I decided to run wash cycle again without wash liquid added to ensure rinsed properly - thank goodness it was late in evening so no onlookers. The washer again got foamed up and I had to find third wash cycle so please remember to use only wash liquid for a third of a normal load. The pad dried quite well I did as the gent had told me to, leaving it flat till cold. Luckily my time slot for the washer is 7.30pm to 9.30pm I chose this slot as it is unpopular time with other tenants as it clashes with the soaps (TV) though some leave things in the dryer to come back to collect later. It also means I can carry on later as no official slots after this. The pads are excellent in use as long as you remember to use only a little washing liquid, perhaps a quarter of standard amount and allow time for drying. Do not fold up the pad when still warm from dryer. There was definitely no soak through on to the fitted bed sheet underneath. The mattress belongs to the flat not me so I was glad of this. Ps NHS incontinence department - - - you must review your assessment procedures. The day pad I have from you to last 8am to lunchtime last no time. I have seen nappies with more absorbance. I get three of those for a 16 hr day and a slightly thicker one for all night (8 hrs). I have to use 2 x thick pads at night changing at 4am every night. I told the assessor I GUSH not trickle. Since using your pads I have wet clothes in the day and I dare not sleep in the night pad supplied or even go out during the day relying on it. I will be buying some more of these bed pads when I need more or I will never sleep again without worrying.

These are really good. They wash up well.

They might prove very small on a double bed; but they are advertised as with "cotton wings" so that would increased the tuck-under length. However, if they can't be tucked-in, they could quite easily come loose. "But they are certainly waterproof! And comfortable to lie on, when under a sheet. When laid on the top, they just as easily become untucked by the sleeper's movements. So I think it's best to buy a small order of the size you think suitable. Or you could buy the larger size, and perhaps cut them down for a smaller bed, and end up with plenty of them! DV" There are large ones available -- I think that they're advertised as "suitable for hospitals". On mine, the absorbent section is 88cm across & 85cm top to bottom, and I find it comfortable to lie on, under the sheet. Usually here are flexible cotton wings which extend 44cm at either side, so you have to work out whether they will fit your mattress. "But so much depends upon the sleeper's weight, degree of restlessness, and other factors. They are not expensive, and I suggest that you give them a try, with a small order at first. I hope it works for you. DV"

Amazing!!! Really easy to wash and dry. Haven't needed to tumble them as they've dried on the airer in a day. Having 2 means we have one in use and one being washed (we need to change them daily as part of bladder training as my child isn't dry at night) Absorbent and works well. I haven't had to replace a bottom bed sheet since using these mats. Also the side tucks are great. Was worried they might not be deep enough but they're 45cm each side and the mat really does stay put - in fact it's more secure than the disposable mats we were using previously. Delighted that I won't be shelling out for absorbent bed mats anymore 👍

Ideal for what it was needed for. Washes great if you remember not to add conditioner.

After only two washes the binding on one of the mats came adrift. This meant a couple of feet of binding had to be sewn back . Very disappointing.

Hands down best bed mat when it comes to ease of changing in the night (my 6 year old son can take it off himself) and washing etc. It's also quite soft and a bit padded, which is nice and comfy too. There's two in a pack, which is great for having a spare when the other is getting washed. They wash well too and air dry in a few hours (depending on room temp). Also much better alternative to disposable bed mats that end up in landfill! Will definitely buy another pack to leave with the grandparents, when we stay there.

J'en avait pris juste 1 au départ pour ma fille qui commencait la propreté sieste et nuit. J'ai été vraiment surprise et ravis du produit est vraiment imperméable, j'en ai très vite racheté 2 autres pour faire un roulement. Hier suite à un petit pipi au lit, j'ai mis la protection sous le robinet et franchement même là ça résistait. En pleine nuit c'est plus rapide et facile de retirer cette alaise que de changer un lit entier !! Le seul petit point négatif, c'est avec l'usage des bouloches apparaisse, mais bon c'est pas dérangeant pour moi quand je vois l'efficacité du produit.

Rien n’est parfait d’où mon 4 étoiles au lieux de 5. En tout cas première utilisation avec un gros pipi de ma fille de 6 ans qui a tout retenu et n’a pas déborder sur les autres draps. Peut être mon côté maniaque fait que ce qui me dérange dans le produit est qu’on peut difficilement le faire tenir bien comme il faut malgré les rebords que l’ont peut mettre sous le matelas. Premier lavage , il est entrain de sécher à l’air libre à voir sur les autres utilisations. Je suis malgré tout satisfaite de ne pas avoir eu à changer ses draps en pleine nuit. 👍🏻
