Sparkling YXB Women's Retro Elegant Vintage Shirtwaist Ruched Wiggle Cocktail Party Tea Dress

I was slightly wary about ordering this dress, having read the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The material is quite thick, which means that the dress doesn't accentuate any lumps and bumps. I'm a size 10 and ordered a medium, which fit beautifully. The green colour is a nice deep green and looks good with my red hair. I think I know what other reviewers mean about the hips but it's really not very noticeable and once you're moving about as opposed to standing in front of the mirror I don't think it'll be a problem. If you want a superb fit, I suggest you need to buy a more expensive dress! For the money, this dress is lovely and I'm considering buying a red one too.

This dress is made from quite a nice thicker material. I am a standard 14 but went for a 16 after looking at their size chart and the fact that it scores only 52% on the 'fit as expected chart'. On trying on I found the dress was too large and has huge curved pouches of material above the hips. These sat above the curve of my hips, not over them, and if you look at the model's right side in the photo you can get an idea of exactly what I mean (and that it doesn't fit the model either). On first viewing of the photo I thought it was maybe an in-seam pocket (although it doesn't mention one) but it isn't, it is the actual strange bulge, in a strange place, of the seams of the dress. The dress was dispatched and delivered very quickly and I have returned the dress via Royal Mail using the sellers free return service without any problem so I cannot fault any of the customer service.

I ordered a xxxl as I am a size 18 and I am never to sure with sizes -- I think I could have gone done a size but the dress fits comfortably and I bought it to wear a work so it suits my purpose and for the price a bargain. However, the description of sparkling I assume this is how I will feel when I wear it there is no sparkle to the material. This is great for me but just a heads up if you think you are getting a sparkly dress.I do have two other of these dresses from another seller and I paid more for those - but the material on those appear thicker than this dress. I took my chance with this dress and it was worth the risk.

Everything on this dress hits the body well, but the ruching on the waist is a bit odd. I can certainly deal with this, because the rest of the dress is gorgeous! The colour is so rich, but more of a deep red than a wine colour. I'm still very pleased with this! Especially for a price like that!

Fits poorly on waist unless youre under 5.6. Wide on waist tight at top and thick material has no give. Im a size 8 so ordered a size bigger just in case. Smaller wouldn't fit on chest whete i am a 34ç. Waist is a size 10 and hips are a 12. Length is a 6. Quality is good though.

Amazing delivery, came within a day. Bought the dark green colour, i am a size 10 on top and 12 on bottom so orderd the medium and it fits perfect. Wearing in next month to a 1940's party. Going to buy one in black now as it fits so nice : )

Fits nicely. nice shaped dress.But when arrived I was Not very happy with the colour. Not purple A completely different pinkish colour.But the seller was helpful and was keen to refund me half of my money back.So overall, I m happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

Wore this dress to a forties tea party and it fitted really well and looked far more expensive then its price tag,.Reasonable quality product and although it was cheaper then the fancy dress costumes i really could wear this dress anywhere.
