The Best Choice
Boy, am I glad I chose this keyboard. This is a very nice keyboard. A great keyboard. The first thing you'll notice is it looks good - sleek, low profile, handsome. Not having cords trailing around keeps the desk uncluttered. The best things about it are how it feels and key placement. The Logitech Cordless Desktop S510 has nice keystrokes, meaning it has a feeling of high quality when you press down. The keys don't stick or feel like mediocre or cheap plastic. It also has a nice "sound" when you type. Key placement is well done. I especially like the placement of the extra large 'delete' button and that 'home' and 'end' are right next to each other. Other things I like are the very accessible 'volume' and 'mute' buttons for those sudden, annoying musical websites you will inevitably happen upon while surfing.I don't use the mouse that comes with the keyboard, so I can't review it. I already have a Logitech TrackMan Wheel - fantastic mouse - that I will not part with. From Amazon's pool of vendors, I went with buying this from Amazon, as I usually ten to do. Amazon has been reliable, affordable, professional and a real pleasure to do business with. What a great resource.Reading and re-reading all the reviews helped a lot, but it's still not a sure thing when you can't physically test drive a product. Thank you to all who have written a review.

Great Keyboard! 10 Stars
I returned two other wireless keyboards because the ergonomics were poor. This is a work of art, the keys type to perfection. It does take some getting used to, in comparison to my old logitech wired keyboard. The keys are slightly closer together. It's very light weight, slim and the design is just awesome. One small complaint about the mouse, the scroll buton clicks rather loudly. Other that the mouse works great. I could say that the mouse is on the cheap side, but that may be too harsh a remark. I would have (should have) bought this keyboard first, but the photo confussed me. I was not sure about the silver edge that ramps down. I thought it was going to ramp down too much, and that it would be too large. It's not too large for me, but could be a problem for some.I am very fussy when comes to keyboards, and if you are like me, you will never hit 100%. I am giving this one 10 stars and rating it 95%.

Very good for a wireless keyboard, mouse is excellent
I am a fan of classic "clicky" keyboards. This keyboard is _not_ clicky, but nevertheless has a great feel. The silky smooth palm rest that seems to be the perfect height enhances the overall feel, and the weight gives great stability. The mouse also is entirely satisfactory in feel, response, and accuracy. There are a couple of design issues that keep me from giving five stars: (1) the cable on the receiver is far too heavy for the virtually weightless receiver, meaning that the cable is "in charge" when you try to position the receiver on your desk - either the cable should be super thin or the receiver should be much heavier (or both); (2) there have been a couple of minor instances of slow keyboard response, which may or may not have been due to weak original batteries - although the indicator light said they were fine, and (3) if further experience indicates the response problems _were_ due to weak batteries, then battery life on the keyboard may be an issue (around two months). I think the keyboard might not work well for gamers for whom response is everything. I'm not a gamer but an engineer / programmer, and overall I would buy again.Updating after more than a year experience with several of these boards:The battery life turns out to be fine; the one board that seemed to have a problem in this regard turned out to have a sticky '8' key that was putting a continuous stream of 8's into the computer when left alone, thus depleting the battery. Once fixed (just wiggled the key a little), no problem. Overall, I do like these boards, and particularly like the relatively heavy but smooth moving mouse. However, I have since found a still better keyboard, the Logitech Illuminated keyboard (see my review), that I strongly recommend if you do not need the wireless feature of this board. However, if you need a wireless keyboard, this one is fine.

mouse doesn't work, keyboard hardly
the mouse doesn't work at all. the keyboard works only if situated 1 meter from the receiver, and pointed directly to it, not slightly to the sides. i don't recommend

Great combo
This is my 2nd one of these combos. The 1st one i bought was like 2 years ago. No problems whatsoever because i liked this combo so well i purchased another. The keyboard is great nice comfortable layout and pretty thin and light for a keyboard. The mouse is kinda basic but works very very well on any surface. The batteries last a looong time in both keyboard and mouse and let you know when they are gonna die. Now i did get a defective keyboard with my most recent purchase. The space bar wouldn't work if i hit it on the right side. I then proceeded to contact amazon online and get a return shipping label printed it out and sent defective keyboard back. Amazon had shipped me a new one the very next day without receiving this defective one. I then received the new one a few days later then i boxed up defective one and sent it back with postage paid from my shipping label i printed out. All in all i would definitely recommend and buy this keyboard again. Thank you Logitech for a great product. :)

limited range
This is a nice looking keyboard mouse combo. For working at a desk and getting rid of clutter, it works fine. The keyboard is fairly slim and shallow but its works okay. Mouse doesn't turn off automatically. The problem I had was I wanted it to be used remotely with a PC at one end of the room and the keyboard/screen at another side. I have found that it only works up to about 10ft away from the transmitter when bluetooth devices have no problem working at the 15ft range where I need it to work. Therefore, it's pretty much useless for my purpose.Looks like you need to spend more than $100 for Logitech's bluetooth enabled keyboards if you need the range.
