When I first opened the dog bed it was rolled into a vary hard mat. I unrolled it and thought--this is awful! I opened the zipper, wondered what the heck. It felt like it was filled with rocks. I posted the question--received the helpful info from the company about breaking up the foam, and noticed a tear in the liner. I thought about rolling it up to mail back due to the tear and the rock like filling but I decided to wait and see--and figured if it is really nice I could sew the tear. So it took a lot of shaking it up, smushing the foam apart and changing how it was laid out but two days later it fluffed up. So now it is big and fluffy (not super soft) and our dog has decided to sit on it (somewhat awkwardly because she has not moved the fluff to fit her). I guess we will keep it. But it isn't very soft though it did fluff up, and I wasn't happy about the tear in the liner. It seems like a hassle to return so we will keep it and use it for now. And I do appreciate that the company responded with how to improve it with fluffing. But I would not purchase again or recommend based on the quality (tear in liner and lack of softness).

We have two basset hounds and a basset hound mix who have all reviewed this bed and given it a BIG thumbs up. Even our arthritic old girl finds this bed charmingly comfortable. The humans in the household love the waterproof lining and the sturdy cover. We have gone through literally DOZENS of dog beds over the years and this brand is VERY high quality for the price. This is quite important to us because we wash our covers OFTEN due to the.....um.......rather smelly nature of basset hounds.

Bought this as a replacement for our old dog beds when the zippers gave out after a few years and our pup loves it.Comes vacuum sealed so it needs a few hours to fluff up after taking it out of the box. It has a super soft cover with lots of padding. The zipper seems to be sturdy and seems like it will hold up well though we have not washed the cover yet.We ordered the large size for our 50lb dog and she has plenty of room, the bed actually makes her look tiny when shes all curled up on it.The feature I liked most is that there are replacement covers for sale so in time we can get a new cover without having to replace the whole bed.

I would have given the dog bed a solid 5, however, if the dog bed is not fluffed daily it holds the spot in which the dog was sleeping and it becomes a bit hard. It is not chipped memory foam but shaved memory foam so it does not plump up when the dog gets off of the bed. My dogs like sleeping on it perhaps because I fluff it so that it is soft daily. I have three of these beds and each one has to be fluffed, daily. Cleaning the bed is nice and easy. I like that the shaved memory foam is nicely kept inside of a waterproof casing. If the bed would fluff itself, it would be a solid 5.

I bought a similar bed to this one in 2011 at petco and my dog loved it, it still is an amazing bed just looks worn so i wanted something new to have out when i have company and both my dogs love this bed, one is a 40lb dog and doesn't even take up half of it the other is 80lb lab and spreads out over it. It is pretty high with all the stuffing so the smaller dog is a little slow at getting onto it but I have 5 other beds throughout the house and they both pick this one first.

I purchased this bed for my puppy and had high hopes based upon the reviews. I opened the very tightly compressed package and allowed to "inflate" as instructed. I fluffed several times a day for 3 days and the bed still had hard lumps that remained no matter how much I attempted to break it up. I decided to return but this seller requires you you box it instead of an unboxed return to UPS store. I had to search to find a box large enough to hold the bed. I am very disappointed in the quality of the bed as well as the seller.

A lot of support. Takes a while for the dogs to make a sweet spot since if seems pretty firm at first but it’s firm like an over stuffed couch. Just have to break it in a little. It is NOT hard. Much more support than a standard egg crate/foam type bed. Love that the outer liner can go in the wash and there is a water proof inner liner that holds the fluff. My female dog pees in her sleep. I easily spot clean the water proof liner when I toss the cover in the wash. The dogs fought over who got to lay in this bed so we had to get a second one.

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of these dog beds! We ordered two for our twin Chow Shepherd mix boys. The beds came rolled up and vacuum sealed and were well packaged. Once opened, the began to expand immediately but probably took about an hour to reach their full density. They’re extremely plush and seem supportive, and the covers are extremely soft, like Sherpa baby blankets. Our dogs are so happy!

I wanted something more durable because my pup chewed a hole in his last bed. It is very thick and comfortable. You will need to allow several hours for the foam to rise. It took less than 12hrs for mine. The dog seems to like it. I'm hoping it lasts. Nothing is chew proof so I'm not going to comment on that. The liner inside doesn't look waterproof. Might be water resistant but my pup doesn't have accidents in the house anymore. It actually fits inside a Large size 42" crate but its a little too thick for my liking.

Received dog bed quickly. However when I removed from packaging the zipper was broken on the inside case that holds stuffing. It came flat as a pancake and rolled up tightly, but as soon as laid out started to puff up, so was not able to put back into box for returning. Disappointed that I had to sit and stitch up inside liner to keep stuffing in, after paying $75.00 plus taxes I would have expected much sturdier zipper. I’m hoping the outside zipper will not end up same way. Gave it two star because it did puff up amazingly well and I think it would be very comfy, but if outside zipper breaks like inside zipper it will be useless. I am upgrading my review to a 4 star, my puppy loves this bed, my grandkids love lying with puppy on this bed, it is soft, thick and comfy, so far outside zipper is holding up great, but I would love to have a replacement inside case, to replace the one which came with broken zipper. Thinking maybe when bed was flattened to prepare for shipping maybe machine they used broke zipper?

Terrible product. The mattress stuffing is composed of blocks of foam product. It's easy for the stuffing to migrate and be lumpy. No uniform padding. Most of the stuffing will be pushed to the edges and the dog will be laying on a solid surface quite quickly. The zipper for the cover is small and doesn't function smoothly. Not recommended

Our dog absolutely loves this bed, he literally runs upstairs at night and cuddles into it. He is way more comfortable and is not as restless at night now. The bed is nice and soft and thick. It has a waterproof liner around the stuffing, which is great, as sometimes Bosco is sick durong the night, due to his medications. This bed is worth the money, looks great and is dog approved!
