George Foreman GR0030P Jumbo Sized Grill, Platinum

This is an older model of the George Fireman grill but still my favorite. It has no temperature control and the plates don’t come off for cleaning but I love the size and find I like this older model much better than the newer ones with more features.

This George Foreman grill is perfect for cooking bacon. It cooks the bacon perfectly, but doesn't shrivel it nearly as much as when I fry bacon in a pan. It removes a lot of fat, but somehow I end up with twice as much cooked bacon when I grill it on the Foreman vs when I use a regular pan. My wife uses it for burgers and pork chops and it cooks those perfectly too.

With no temperature control every time I cook chicken the outside of the chicken is burned and the inside is stillraw. Am I doing something wrong?

Over the years, we have had quite a few different George Foreman grills. The one, which this one replaced, was my favorite, for cooking bacon, principally. Eventually, after years of use, the plastic housing looked ratty, so I opted to replace it. The prices had gone WAY UP, since when we first purchased all of ours, so that was a surprise. The new one, rated, here, is well made, but the cooking surface is smaller, and limits the number of bacon strips I can cook, simultaneously, which is a minor irritation. Additionally, unlike its predecessor, the grilling surface has hot zones, and cooler zones, resulting in uneven cooking. As I have learned which areas generate the most heat, I rotate my bacon slices, accordingly, but that is just another aspect that makes me enjoy using this replacement grill MUCH LESS.

We use often. Provides me an opportunity to grill inside during the winter. Works great!

I absolutely LOVE this Clever little invention! I find myself cooking a whole lot more Home-Cooked meals since this purchase. Chicken, Fish, Burgers... You name it! It’s quick & easy to use, the food tastes wonderful and the clean up is a sinch! Highly Recommend this Grill for busy families that don’t have all night to spend in the kitchen!!

Purchased it from and through Amazon Prime. on July 9, 2017. It is now April 2018 and it has stopped working. I had an original GF Grill and it performed for years, but when it began to lose its nonstick coating I through it away. The new grill sucks because it stopped heating is such a short time. Moreover, it was used probably less than 12 times in the less than one year that I have owned it.

No on & off switch.....Very bad feature.No sponge included. The sponge, I believe, is necessary to preserve the surface. I can only assume that the manufacturer wants the surface to wear causing the customer to rebuy a Foreman grill.No scraper included. Poor management decision.
