Minka-Aire F689-PW Kola-XL 60 Inch Ceiling Fan in Pewter Finish

Fan looks good and is quiet. However after 4 months, it stopped working. Their tech support sent us a replacement wireless receiver unit which I installed and which didn't fix the problem. I will update when/if I get this fixed but I am disappointed that after 4 months, a fan this price stops working.Update...Received 2 different and separate parts on 2 different occasions that were supposed to fix the problem. I installed each and neither fixed the problem. The seller was very nice and accommodating and sent me a replacement fan with no return required. I installed the new fan which works fine but has an audible electric hum at all speeds which can be heard over the sound of the moving fan blades. Although it doesn't bother me during sleep as it becomes just white noise, I am not sure I will keep it because its a noise that I feel shouldn't exist for what I paid for this fan.

This fan is really pretty but... It's really only good for one setting which is medium. Low is so low it doesn't even produce an airflow and high is so off balance it'll drive a person nuts with the clicking from each rotation because it is LOUD. Our electrician spent over an hour two separate days trying to balance this fan to at least reduce the sound and without luck. The blades aren't the problem it looks like the shaft on the motor is at an angle causing the wobble and sound to be unfixable. Maybe we got a defective one but for the price we expected a quieter fan.The remote is cool and simple to use.

Easy install and looks great in the living room. After a month, already received lots of complements on the fan. Best part of the fan, it goes both forward and backward so it can be used to circulate the air in different seasons. Can't say enough good things.

Like another reviewer, mine also made a humming sound the moment it turned on. Minka customer service sent us new parts twice but it never fixed it. To add insult to injury, as another reviewer said it doesn’t have much speed. We felt like it had to be on high, but then it made too much noise. I would have liked to return but they said it wasn’t the motor so I’m stuck with it. Our cheap Home Depot fans work better as does our 20 yr old Minka. I have found an alternative but hesitant to buy another of this brand.
