eMachine Bestec ATX-300-12E 300 Watt P4 ATX Power Supply

Worked exactly as expected and received in 2 days as promised. (Ordered Saturday evening and received on Monday afternoon, Memorial Day.) Unplugged power from the computer, removed side panel on computer and removed 4 screws holding old power supply in place, disconnected wired connections to computer hardware, pulled old power supply and connecting wires out of computer ....new power supply fit exactly into old power supply location and all connectors were the same. Exact replacement for me. Recommend you remember how each connection from the old power supply to computer hardware is attached and ensure your new power supply connects back exactly the same way. Some connections are just press fit while others have a small latch. Inspect each of your connectors carefully first to ensure you understand how the connector works or you could damage the connection. If you are unsure, look at connectors on new power supply to understand how old connectors should be removed. Not hard to do, just need to do it carefully with attention to details.

Since all of our wonderful big-box computer stores have all folded in this area, I sometimes have to run around to lesser stores to try to find something that I need. On Monday evening, I received a desktop with a failed power supply and realized that a replacement was a bit specialized. After a bunch of phone calls to places within 30-40 miles, the best advice I could get was to "bring it in and we'll see if we can match it. I went to Amazon, found the specific power supply, paid less than $6 for next day delivery, and it arrived the next day, as promised. The machine went back into service this morning, working like new. Why should I spend several hours, driving all over Tampa Bay, when I can sit back and let Amazon do all of the work?

I bought this item thinking it was what my computer needed, but alas it was not and my computer still did not work. I wrote to ask about returning the item and I received an answer within a few days. Later as I got ready to mail it back and I had some more questions that when I asked they returned answers within a timely matter. I returned the item and was emailed that they received it and I would be getting a refund check soon which I did. Great company to work with would buy from them again.

Ordered this for my non-tech savvy father who was able to install it by himself and now has a working pc again!

The order was for a 300 watt power supply. Thevendor emailed me to let me know they substituted a 450 watt instead. I let them know that the tech support for the computer mfg said it had to be a 300 watt ps. The vendor had their tech email me that the 450 was a better power supply and it would work. If it didn't work they would make things right. Very pleased with the result and communications.

Giving this a 5 star because we don't know if it works or not. We thought it was the power supply causing our computer not to power up but this piece did not fix the computer. So we really didn't need and are not using. We finally put our hard drive in another computer and it is working now.

Got My tower going and its still going, like any up grade,do the power supply first and all the rest falls in place, but you can only up grade so far and so many times, but the power supply is what they say,theres just no way to rate a power supply unless the maker puts a sticker on it

I bought this for my mother when her power supply went out on her computer.The only issue was that it did not have a SATA connector for her HDD, but this was easily resolved by cutting and splicing a few wires.Now here I am a year later and it is still working perfectly!Well worth the money!
