Atari Flashback 9 - Electronic Games

I love this little machine. It has a good collection of games already put on it and you can add a SD card to add thousands of other 2600 games onto it. I put a file full of homebrews and classic Atari games onto my flashback 9 and you'll be surprised how many homebrews of modern games are on the 2600. I got a real Atari 2600 now so I see myself using this less now but I use it whenever I travel. I'll be in a motel room bored and I just hook this up to the TV and stay up playing. That's just me tho. If your someone who's looking into getting this for a wow facture your gonna get disappointed. To me I play Atari games for the gameplay because I'm sure the community and I know the graphics aren't the preittest but damn their fun to play. So if that doesn't bother you than it's for you. But there are those few games that make you say "This is a Atari game?!"

I love it! System boots quickly. Menu system is nice. Controllers work great and the original Atari controllers work as well including paddle. I chose wired controllers simply because wireless can be a problem sometimes. HDMI makes the games look crystal clear instead of using the old RF switch on a modern HD TV which looks horrible. By the way, an HDMI cable is not included. Didn't bother me because I have plenty. If not get a Monoprice or Amazon Basics cable for cheap! This system is only $40 which is less than the price of one modern day game! The greatest feature is the addition of the SD slot! I currently have over 1000 games on the system. Brings back so many memories. Amazing!

I received this days before expected so that was a huge plus! However, i was a little aggravated that there was no hdmi cable or any cable in fact to hook it to the tv right out of the box. Fortunately i had a spare hdmi cable and was able to hook it up right away. So far space invaders and missile command are my favorite throw back games. Most of the games i will never play because they are sooo basic. However, i just read that i may be able to download or update games by using the SD card slot. That could be a huge positive if that is true.

I bought this console for my 3 year old daughter because she loves Frogger. First off the box the console was shipped in was in a lunchables box! Frogger does not load and crashes the console when selected! There are 11 pages of games to choose from, this console freezes and stops working when you try to go past page 7! I am so disappointed with this product. This is just sad. I need a refund or some way to return this item and get a replacement.

I have been on the fence to buy an Atari Flashback console since the early days. The Atari Flashback 9 made one HUGE change by adding a SD card slot. Just go to YouTube and you will figure it out why this is such a big deal. The hardware, packaging, and shipping, get's a big fat A+ in my book. And for around $40, you get to play some of the most awesome games ever created (BACK IN THE DAY) and in HD!!!One big question remains - HAVE YOU PLAYED ATARI TODAY??? JUST DO IT!!!

This was a great trip down memory lane. I had the original Atari as a kid and this was a lot of fun to have. It is missing a few games that I would have liked to see like pac-man but it did have Frogger, Space Invaders, Astroids, Centipede. Overall it was fun. If you are accustom to the current high def gaming this will likely be far too basic for you. If you want to revisit your gaming past from 40 years ago it is great.

Same as they were in the eighties. More for nostalgia. Definitely not high def if that’s what you are looking for. The console leaves a lot to be desired. I had the original and it was solid. This is cheap plastic and the sticks are not great either. Overall disappointing. They could have done way better.
