Very good coffee pods, with a little trial and error
I have read many reviews about reusable coffee pods and alot of them say that they don't produce strong enough coffee. I'd like to explain what I done which produced a coffee as near to the shop brought pods as I could get.Firstly I have come to the conclusion that these reusable pods have too many holes in the base. So I glued one of the foil lids to the bottom of the pod and pierced only 3 holes. This is exactly the same amount of holes a shop brought pod would have after my machine has pierced the bottom of the pod. See my picture. It may be different for your machine, so might be a little trial and errorSecondly I found I really good family run coffee business called Lalico Coffee. I brought India Monsooned Malabar. It's the best coffee I have tasted! They sell small 100g bags of it on website (lalicocoffee.co.uk) or on eBay for £3.35.So you can try the coffee before buying loads of it. (100g actually makes quite a few pods!)Thirdly I find that the scoop that comes with these pods isn't quite big enough so I ended up using around a scoop and a half per pod. Gently push it down with back of spoon. Don't press really hard. Leaving around a millimetre gap.I found this made a very nice cup of coffee and is going to save me money in the long run.

Was sceptical but they work very well!
Thought I'd try these for 2 reasons. 1) the cost of nespresso is getting silly but mainly 2) the waste is criminal. Bought a bog standard bag of filter coffee, filled the pod up, tamped it down with the back of the scoop, stuck on the lid and it worked. I was slightly concerned at the amount of force it took to close the lever on the coffee machine but all seems okay. Flavour is 4 stars but maybe that is the coffee I bought, the coffee itself has perhaps slightly less "creme" but i will definitely be sticking with this as a much more environmental alternative.

Pleasantly surprised
Given some of the reviews, I thought I was taking a chance, but I’m very pleasantly surprised. I’ve tried two coffee types. The first which was a very fine grind and was rubbish. The second which is just a standard supermarket grind was excellent. I’m not a coffee expert so I’m sure others would be able to, but I am struggling to tell the difference between these and the disposable capsules for taste. They are more fiddly to clean than just chucking something away, but my conscience is so much happier. You get three in the pack and I’d like a few more so that I can wash them in bulk, but sadly they are out of stock. Please get more in ...

Easy to use but just can't get that rich coffee flavor yet. .. Socks juice so far
Pods arrived as described and are easy to use & clean but... I have so far used 3 different types of coffees (all strong) with different quantities to try to get a stronger flavour to no avail. After only a very few seconds of running the water turns almost transparent. But the biggest draw back is the diameter of the pods ring where the aluminum sticker goes as it is far too big and had to force it the first few trials. Consequences are, the pods now fits perfectly but if you want to go back to an Espresso pod... They just drop right down the draw! If any of you know of the coffee to use for best results I want to know!

Work really well in my De'Longhi Nespresso Lattissima Touch machine
Having bought Amazon's Solimo (espresso, red) capsules and found them too bitter, I purchased these reusable capsules to try to create a more mellow, everyday blend. I have large coffee mugs which requite two capsules anyway, so what I do is I use one Solimo capsule for a 'lungo' sized shot and then one of these refillable capsules with Aldi's own-brand Ethiopian filter coffee in the pod, brewed with an 'espresso' sized shot of water. This mix tempers the bitterness of the Solimo. The reusable capsules are a brilliant find, and I will reorder some more so that I can always have my cheap bespoke blend at the ready!

If you only read one review this year!!!
Totally useless, not fit for purpose, won't go in machine properly and nearly broke my machine trying to get them to fit.DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM

Functional but not a good cup of coffee
These coffee pods do work, but I can’t get a strong enough cup of coffee out of them unlike the commercially made nespresso type pods. I certainly wouldn’t use them unless it was an emergency!

Waste of time
Absolutely disastrous. Very disappointing purchase. Not only the coffee tasted and looked like sock water but also the refill was a bit of a mission. We went back to using cafetière and the usual pods . Waste of time and money.
