emotionally focused definitely the way to go
Emotionally focused therapist training set - the workbook that accompanies Emotionally focused therapy by Sue Johnson is a welcome and well thought out addition to her text as it covers all the points and asks questions that reinforce her method of therapy. This is good reading on its own, but much better with her book, and certainly cheaper than taking a training course in Ottawa, Canada. It is also reasonably priced and a must have for therapists or flegling therapists just starting out. This therapy works for all, but is especially relevant for couples.

Great for new therapists!
Excellent for the new therapist! It really guides you through the couple dynamics and how to help you help each partner understand their role in the cycle.

Must read for counselors and therapists!
By and far the best theory for coupe therapy. Based on the most current research in attachment, this approach offers more success in helping my clients recover from relational distress and build new bonds than anything other approach. Additionally, Johnson describes the process in a such a pragmatic and experiential way, any therapist can improve their work with both couples and individuals as they begin to understand how foundational attachment theory is in therapy.

Over the top workbook
Be prepared to spend tons of time reading, answering multiple choice questions, hunting down answers in the back of this clumsy oversized book. It is too much of a pretty good thing. Needs reworking and a good editor to trim it down and make it more user friendly. It has more words in it than the book Becoming an Emotionally Focued Couple Therapist and duplicates lots that is in that book. They need to redo this and its companion as a set. Right now it is only the covers that go together.

Really reinforces the learning process.......
This is a great supplement to the book. Digs in to the concepts and allows opportunities to think through own responses and has answers in the back.

Busband
Great workbook. Page 47 has a type-o: โbusbandโ instead of โhusband.โ

Practical and helpful
Clear and engaging. The exercises are really useful and are clearly drawn from the complexity of real situations. I find it very relevant to my work with couples, and in my own relationship.

Easy to use
Practice and easy to use. Full of practical strategies that are explained well and simple to implement. As with everything, practice makes perfect, so thes are a good reminder.

Great Resource
This workbook is an excellent addition to the book. It guides a novice EFT therapist through the process of EFT and gives concrete examples, script and great clarity.

Great Resource
I really appreciate the thoroughness and clarity of this workbook. Having taken Sue Johnson's EFT course, this was an excellent companion resource.
