Hohem iSteady pro 2 Upgraded version 3 axis gimbal for Gopro Hero 7/6/5/4/3,SJcam, Yi 4K or similar size for Action camera,including Tripod stand and Extension Rod

I just took my new gimbal walking in Tenerife and it performed admirably.It is quite bulky and although I had to hold it in my hand all the time it was not as cumbersome I feared. We did several really tough walks of 4-5 hours without problem.There was no rain, so I can't say whether getting it wet or having to stow it to keep it dry would have been a problem.The gimbal was kept powered throughout and sometimes the handle got warm, but there was no doubt the battery life was more than sufficient, which is more than I could say for the action cam. There did not appear to be a correlation between the amount of movement and the handle getting warmer, which suggests there may have been an element of the motors working against each other, but the battery life did not appear to be compromised as a result.I would say the biggest drawback was that occasionally you could hear the gimbal motors on the video recording. I am not sure what to do about this but the stabilisation was always first class.Regards durability it survived unscathed being dropped once, and also getting quite dusty, without any noticeable effect on performance.

Fantastic stabilization,great price,made of very sturdy plastic,the app is great for panning time lapse,battery life is around 10-12hrs and you can use it to charge you phone and action camera.can not fault this product.

I bought this to replace another gimbal I bought which was designed for a mobile phone, but came with an adapter. I am glad I did. This fits my GoPro 5 perfectly... and the mini tripod and added extender arm were a real bonus. I never had any doubt that the gimbal would work... the controls are very easy to pick-up and it does what it needs to do: rock steady video. More importantly, yes there is a little hum when it works... you can hear it, but it does not overpower the GoPro's microphone and people talking are still understandable (depending on how far away they are). I have yet to play with the App that controls the iSteady; haven't found a need for it. For the money I paid... well worth it. One very slight niggle; I originally found the screws that hold the camera in place just a little tight (but I then worked out that it was probably me doing it wrong, so can't fault the gimbal).

To handle the Nikon 170 which was just a it to large for the yoke .managed to make an adaptor but the advertising shroud advise about the unsuitability of that camera for this product.

Very good value. Easy to use and ok app for smartphone. The first gimball I have tried and it makes the videos much more smooth. Recording while walking will never be the same again without a gimball.
